Before school:
You can drop your child off to Coast Kids (in their pyjamas if they want) - children will be given a healthy breakfast of cereal, fruit, toast, juice, hot chocolate or milk. They will then get dressed, brush their teeth, hair etc. We will make sure their homework is done (if there is enough time) and we will then drop them to their school (or bus stop) 10 minutes prior to start or departure time. After School:
We pick up children from all Papamoa schools, children are taken back to the Coast kids club rooms where they receive afternoon tea of fruit, biscuits, sandwiches, juice and always a warm light meal. Afterwards children can choose from a range of activities like Rock climbing (Greerton), Drift trikes, Archery, Foam Pit with Trampoline, skate park, roller blades, adventure playground, bmx riding, arts and crafts, team building games, cooking etc.. There is always lots of activities to choose from. We also offer a 15 minute homework time for children who require this. You have until 6pm to pick up your

Autumn HP 🍂 Day 9: Pyjama Slumber Party

Peeeriooooodtttt, Kia ora whanau. Today is our last day of the Autumn HP. Today was our day to be lazy and slaaaaaaaay. What did we do today?

This morning we did our nail salon and pampering station, we did our nails, we laid back and let the kids be the leaders, and the leaders get the treatment…. Hehehehe…. Not really but it was a day for everyone. We ran out of time to do our pizzas before lunch so we had lunch first then got stuck into the afternoon.

After lunch, we did our pizza station. Mātua H loves making the dough from scratch. It’s better that way. This is his specialty cause mans can’t bake, but he can eat, play golf and make a bucket.. The kids got to make their own pizzas with the toppings. That was lunch for the afternoon and that was time on the programme. We cut the programme short as some of the kids started rebelling and were done by 2:30. Thaaaank you for joining in on our CKHPTVinHD. Apologises for lack of photos today. It was a full on Friday to end the holidays but we made it.

Autumn HP 🍂 Day 8: Master Chef👨🏾‍🍳

Tēnā koe whanau. Today was our Master Chef Day. This morning we made Butter Chicken and Mac and Cheese. Our 2 master chef leaders Chelsea and Zoe were so influential in their roles in creating these dishes from scratch. This took us no longer than an hour. quick and easy tidy up. Kids had an early lunch. By the time we hit the end of our lunch break, it was only 12:15, usually the time we finish eating. This meant kids got more free time.

This afternoon we then made our Mango Lassi and did our games/activities. This meant we got to wrap it up by 2:30. We were done before 3 whanau. No one ever complains about an early finish. Hehehehe

Final day of Autumn HP tomorrow as it is our Pyjama day. Bring your pyjamas and your fun pleaseeee.

Autumn HP 🍂 Day 6: Skate School and Pizza 🛼🍕

Tēnā koe whanau. Today we were in center again and what a dooezy of a day.
This morning we got into some paper plane competition as well as some cookies. Quick and easy activities that took us no longer than an hour to do. Once lunch hit, the surprise hit too. We had piiiizzaaaaaaaaaaaaa ❤ Happy Mātua H. All is well!! All is well!! We love our Pizza.

This afternoon we then had the chance to do our skate school in the concrete room. Heaps of running around, roller blading, skating and bails, fails and sails as some of these kids were gliding along the concrete and over the room. Shoutout to Skate school for putting on a fun activity to wrap up the day.

Tomorrow we are in center for our Master Chef day. Bring your tools….

Autumn HP 🍂 Day 6: Super Mario Day

Tēnā koe whanau. Today we were in center here in the Bay Of Plenty Of Weather. This is what we did for the day.

This morning we had 3 stations, 1 station was making our Goomba dessert, 1 station was making our Mario Kart steering wheels, the other was our activities in the concrete room. A lot of fun when prepared well so we did our absolute best to give the kids the time of their lives. Despite this, we ran out of time to do 1 of our rotations, so we swapped 2 groups over with each other and the other group spent the whole time making their steering wheels. This took us into lunch and it was a good time to relax.

This afternoon we slowed it down and did it an activity at a time. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to make our cupcakes. But we managed to do our Mario and Luigi cut outs and run the games this afternoon.

Tomorrow we are doing our skate school and Pizzas. We will be in center for the rest of the week.

Autumn HP 🍂 Day 5: Movie Day

Tēnā koe whanau. First things first, we are glad to have seen the cyclone come and go without any damage to any of our coast kids whanau, and friends. We are happy to be open as per usual.

Today we got to go out and enjoy the weather by going from the center to bayfair for our Super Mario day. Booyyyy the kids were seated the whole movie. Have your occasional bathroom breaks here and there but overall they were well behaved and enjoying themselves. Our movie session started at 11am. After our movie session we headed to Arataki Park to have lunch, enjoy the fresh air and run around outside on the playground before we headed back to the center to enjoy the rest of the day outdoors before the rain came. Surprise surprise.

We are in center tomorrow whanau to wrap up part 2 of our Super Mario day.

Day 4 Autumn HP: Candy land 🍪🍩🍭🍫🍬

Kia ora tatou, this is our wrap up to end the week. Today we are in the center for our candyland day. What did the CandyLads do today. This morning we did our salt dough donuts and slices. Kids were still reeling from yesterdays banggeeeeer so we kept it low energy, low maintenance but still made it fun. Well the kids made it fun, we just had to keep up today which was a tough ask if you’ve been here all week and trying to pretend you are in your prime but actually are not who you user to be, but we digress and we push forward. The morning sent us a good time so we hit lunch pretty early. A quiet break and helped us to regain energy heading into lunch. After lunch we finished off our donuts and made rainbow weetbix balls. Kitchen used 100x More today than the last 3 days combined but our kids were on point to wrap up the day. Photos incoming. Week 1 done.

Day 3 Autumn HP: Funky Fun Sports Day ⚽️🏀🏈⚾️🥎🏐🏉🏓🎳🏸🏏🥊🏅🥏🏂🎿🚴⛳️🥋🤾‍♂️⛹🏾‍♂️⛹️‍♀️🏹🏌️
Wet weather vs Energetic Kids part 2, this is how the day went whanau.

This morning we headed out of the center. Due to rising costs out of our control, we flipped the script and kept it local, this will be us all holidays by the way whanau but hold on for the day we had! It was so goooood!!

We headed to Memorial Park to the QEII for our funky fun sports day. We had 3 different stations in the morning. Badminton, football and Basketball and boyyyy it was a morning banguuuur. Compare it to Michael Jackson touring Aotearoa in his peak, or Richie McCaw in his prime playing for Greerton Marist 👀, this was peak entertainment and straight cinema!! The kids were running and gunning and funning. Yeah that’s not a word but you understand the picture we are painting. 20 minute rotations and all the energy burnt before lunch. After lunch we had dodgeball, relays and to top it off we had TUG OF WAR. Soooo goood. Soo fun and such a great way to end the day. Shoutout to the crew at bay venues for putting a sunshine day on for us inside while it was raining. Shoutout to Papamoa for joining us and shoutout to Taz for making us all look weak. We will do better but we appreciate our time with you guys.. till next time.

Day 2 Autumn HP: Easter Eggstravaganza

Wet weather vs Energetic Kids, this is how the day went whanau.

This morning we got stuck into our Mosaic Arts and crafts activity vs our baking in the kitchen. What a day for it. We were inside all day but the energy started off high. Baking turned out mint and our crafts activity turned out the exact same way. Now onto the afternoon. This afternoon we managed to burn off whatever sugar we had in our system and any extra energy to do our relays, our easter egg hunt as well as our dance battles. Yeessss we had a dance battle and it was super fun, but the price we payed for that fun was that we were all tired. So what now? Well that’s pretty much about it. Our kids were amazing today, extra fun and extra polite and leaders were on point too! We are grateful!!

We are out of center tomorrow as we head to QEC at memorial park for our sports day. We aim to leave at 9:15am sharp so please be as early as you can. They want us there and ready to go at 10.

Autumn HP 26 Day 1: Pool Day.

Mihi atu ki a tātou. Welcome to Autumn HP. We hope you all enjoyed your nice long weekend. Today we managed to get out before the rain hit. We had to delay or pool time so we hit the park before our swim time. Arrival to the pools was 11:30 and we managed to get a good 2 hours of swimming. Once we finished, we loaded up on the bus and headed back to the center where we had our sushi station ready to go, kids got stuck into it straight away to finish and round out our day.

On this day we had fun and a good soak, as well as some nice friendly banter.

We are in the center tomorrow. As a precaution, please take extra care on the roads and drive to the conditions.
