Our Doozy of a Day trip went really well last Thursday. The Mandarin Tree Gallery is always special & we followed it up with great service & goodies for morning tea at MatteBlack Café & Catering Co. On a arrival in Te Kauwhata we had the treat of a factory tour & tasting at Peplers. Wow! What an amazing array of products. This place is well-worth a visit or you can buy their fantastic range of products on line. Who wouldn't love such delights as Orange & Date Vinaigrette? After this venue, we enjoyed lunch at The Lakeside Cafe. We had intended to go to Pat's Shed but because of a family bereavement they had to cancel just before our trip. So we went to chocolate Works in Horotiu, a chocoholic's dream. We had intended to go to Providore en route for Tauranga. but the over-indulgence in chocolate had taken a little longer than intended, so we decided to head for home. The sugar-rush from the final visit made it a very convivial return trip. We have been asked to repeat this trip close to Christmas so that people can buy presents.

A great day with eleven people on our Flavours of Plenty Festival Local Tasting Tour yesterday.
White House Restaurant Te Puna provided their usual tasty cuisine & excellent NZ wines for the tasting experience, The Rising Tide had paddles waiting on arrival for tastings of their excellent gin, beer or cider & the desserts & cocktails , mocktails or coffee (of client's choice) at Salinity were enjoyed, overlooking the marina. The addition of WEBSTER'S TEA was a real plus, with tastings of their special blends really appreciated.
We have another one of these tours, with the additional venue, on Saturday, 2 May, so if you want to participate in this fabulous experience with the extra venue at no additional cost, just look at the@Flavours of Plenty Festival program ( Page 15, Tasting Extravaganza).
On Friday, we had a full vehicle to Waihi Beach Bowentown Boatclub. Great views & food. A lift at the venue was really appreciated by those that are not keen on stairs!
After lunch, we looked at the burgeoning area, the fantastiv view from thr Lookout & drove through the Bowentown Camping Ground to show clients the great facilities & cabins available.

Tim at Avocado Tours NZ Is a bit like an energiser bunny; he is so enthusiastic when he tours you around his avocado orchard & he loves sharing a multiplicity of interesting facts about the venue, before treating you to tastings of his personally-made guacamole & smooth avocado ice-cream.
At BeeNZ in Katikati, we get treated to tastings & a factory tour. Local, natural honey products close to home in Katikayi. How lucky are we!
The Village Green Restaurant, Omokoroa, has great food & service. Here we have fish & chips for lunch ( or a meal to the same value), before showing you the sights of this burgeoning area.
We then head for the Minden Lookout. .360 degree views of the Coastal Bay of Plenty. Wow!
Did you know that we have a premium loose leaf tea company, owned and operated in Tauranga? On our way back to your pick-up point, we pop in to WEBSTER'S TEA, Te Puna.
