Another day exploring Malaysia 🇲🇾

We started the morning with a train journey from KL Sentral to Tapah Road , leaving the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur behind and heading towards the Cameron Highlands.

One of the highlights today was visiting a local indigenous home – a really interesting glimpse into a completely different way of life and another side of Malaysia that you don’t necessarily get to see as a tourist.

There was of course plenty of food involved 😂, a stop in Tanah Rata, and some gorgeous scenery along the way as we made our way higher into the Cameron Highlands. 🌿

We eventually arrived at our hotel, had a good look around the property (all in the name of research, of course 😉), before finishing the day with dinner at Oakwood.

Another full day, another completely different side of Malaysia – and I’m loving how varied this trip has been! 🇲🇾❤️

Well… someone had to do the research! 🍸

Got taken to a quirky little hidden bar and, naturally, we had to try the signature cocktails. It would have been rude not to! 😉

Another big day in Malaysia, starting with an early train ride from Pulau Sebang into KL

We spent the day exploring the city – taking in the King’s Palace, National Monument, wandering through Central Market (definitely heading back here for some shopping), seeing the River of Life, and of course looking out from the skydeck at the impressive KL Tower.

Lunch came with a bit of a challenge! 😂 Delicious Indian food served on a banana leaf, eaten with our right hand only – definitely easier said than done, but all part of the experience! 🤣

The incredible Batu Caves were another highlight. Colourful, busy, impressive… and those stairs! 😅 Such an iconic place and definitely worth seeing.

Dinner at Saloma was very welcome – I think we were all happy to sit down, enjoy the food and give our feet a rest!

Another fabulous day – hot, colourful, busy, a little messy at lunchtime 😂 and plenty of laughs along the way. 🇲🇾❤️
