So, you’re thinking of heading to NZ for a motorcycling trip – smart move! But if you’re short on time (aren’t we all) but want to see some of the best-of-the-best, here’s where we would aim to ride to.
Waiheke Island – A stones throw from central Auckland, this iconic wee island is truly special: amazing wineries (definitely lunch ), spectacular views, tucked away beaches and winding roads ebb from one bay to the next. And, it has its own microclimate!
Queenstown – Where to start – so much to do, or simply sit back and admire the majestic scenery. Queenstown may be NZ’s adventure capital but it’s so much more: breathtaking ranges, walks, restaurants ( not to be missed), lake cruises (), lakeside sauna, you just have to go!
Milford Sound – No trip to NZ is complete without a trip to Milford Sound. Magical in every sense: dark inky waters, cliffs and cascading falls, jump on a tour – helicopter or boat – and experience NZ's finest natural attraction.
NZ up close and personal is a holiday to remember, when experienced on a motorcycle - even better! Come hire a motorbike, take a motorcycle tour, and have the trip of a lifetime, www.guzzi.nz

“Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul” . . . Science has proven time and time again that hobbies, the outdoors and being up close and personal with nature don't just feed the soul, they can boost longevity and strengthen mental and physical health. What better way to get your dose of TLC than jumping in the saddle of a classic Italian motorcycle and winding your way down the stunning coastlines and countryside of Aotearoa - Land of the Long White Cloud. Mandello we love you! Moto Guzzi begins its next century and new chapter, in Mandello del Lario this September. Celebrating its 105th year with a newly designed event World Days (GMG - Giornate Mondiali Guzzi), which includes an Open House of its state-of-the-art factory and museum. Che bello!
Thousands of riders are making the pilgrimage to Mandello. Four days of engines, stories, pouring over collections, and celebrations all round. The spirit of Moto Guzzi will fill Lake Como.
We can’t be there but we’ll still be celebrating right here in Aotearoa, we’ll raise a glass (and a fork) to Italy with proper fare, then point our front wheels toward one of our favourite loops – the Coromandel – and take in those coastal views, sweeping bends and bask in that V-twin soundtrack.
At the end of the day, it’s never just about where you are in the world, it’s about the spirit of the bike and people you carry with you.
And while Mandello celebrates 105 years, we’re already looking ahead to NZ’s Moto Guzzi annual celebration, October, Labour Weekend, the famous The Tatley Rappet – we’ll be there.

Coromandel Moto Guzzi Ride – One-day is all you need, but you’ll want more! Wanting a cruisey but spectacular North Island NZ motorcycle ride on a Moto Guzzi – start with the Coromandel. The Coromandel offers key Kiwi delights – and sweeping bends – and it can be ridden in just one day. Start in Thames, cruise up the coast following the stunning Pohutukawa lined road with sweeping views across the Firth of Thames, stop off at the Coromandel Oyster Company for delicious fresh, seafood and lunch with an incredible water view. Head into Coromandel town – a down-to-earth friendly community bustling with local delights, real conversation and of course stunning scenery. Head over the hill and twist and turn your way along the western Coromandel coastline before stopping off at the famous Coroglen Tavern for a bite, a yarn and a few good stories – there may even be a band playing (you might even catch a famous face or two - Jason Momoa is a Coroglen Tavern goer). From Whitianga to Whangamata – the roads are epic, the views spectacular, you won’t want for anything else. Make sure you kick back in Whangamata – our surfing and classic car mecca – the perfect resting spot (with some great eateries) to end the day on. So, what are you waiting for?! Come hire a Moto Guzzi, bring a friend or two and experience real NZ, www.guzzi.nz

New Zealand is made for motorcycling - and we're ready and waiting for you! With nearly 11,000 km of state highways and 83,000 km of local roads, there’s space to breathe: flowing routes, sweeping bends, and often hardly anyone else around.
With two islands, its one ride worth taking. The North Island brings geothermal landscapes, rolling farmland and long coastal stretches. Head south and the scenery shifts to ancient forests, mountain ranges, fjords, lakes and rivers that stop you in your tracks.
NZ's main riding season runs from December through May, but the 'winter-less' North is good year-round motorcycline. With the right gear and planning, the South Island and shoulder months never fail to take your breath away.
But it’s not just the roads. Us Kiwis are renowned for our friendliness, our cultural ties, seafood and coastal fare, wineries, golf courses - the list goes on. Wherever you stop, there’s always something worth pulling over for.
Don't shelve your motorcycling adventure dreams - just plan for the future, come on over when you can! www.guzzi.nz
