Fiordland has lost one of its greatest. Our dear friend and colleague, Mark Hollows (affectionately known as Uncle Mark) passed away on June 13th, 2026. This incredibly sad news has shaken our community.
Mark played an integral role in the delivery of our adventures, flying us across the mountains and into the heart of Fiordland. Many of you who joined us in the wild likely had the privilege of meeting this legendary aviator.
Adventures are memorable, however we all know that it’s the people involved who bring the magic, and Mark did that in spades. He was calm, professional, charming, and a whole lot of fun—a special person whom we considered one of our Wild Fiordland family.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Kim and the Hollows family and friends.
To Uncle Mark: We will miss your hugs on the beach, your unmistakable grin, your sense of humour, and our debriefs at the bar. Fly high our friend. We love you.
