Another winter has passed and from the beauties of home to the wilds of Japan it’s been a memorable one. But there is nothing like spring as the trees blossom and the land comes alive again. It’s always important to remember how the cold makes you appreciate the warmth (and vice versa). So in ode to the season that has been, here are a few of my highlights. With the adventure season just around the corner, before I look forward I need to reflect on what has come so far.

It has been a wild ride, but after 3 years of putting my all into building it’s finally come time to take the next step in the journey.

An idea that was inspired by my days as a fly fishing guide and born from a simple sketch. Has now grown into a team and gear in the hands of keen adventures all over the world.

A recent day out with my new team brought it all back and helped remind me where I began and how far we have come. It all began with these simpler days, sharing moments in the outdoors with those who understood my passion.

Now with the building blocks in place, it’s onto the next stage of the journey. One of infinite exploring, creating, learning, sharing and building something we can all be proud of.

So here is to a great adventure season ahead. One spent appreciating and reveling in this glorious country we call home.

Closing out 2023 with a few highlights. It’s been a packed year with plenty of work, travel, events and everything in between. It’s been a year of ups and downs. But overall one to look back on knowing I made those of it. Now here’s to the next one.

2 years to the day I have launched the next version of my first product, the KEA KIT. It’s took a fair bit of development and testing to create a kit that was not only a improvement on the last one, but offered people the certainty they need in the outdoors. It’s is now live on Kickstarter and has ticked up over $100k raised in just 72 hours, about 3x faster than the first version!
