SH78 TIMARU, CANTERBURY – ROAD REBUILD - UPDATE TUE 24 MAR

Due to unfavourable weather forecast, overnight closures have been RESCHEDULED at this time. Closures of Sefton St East/Port Loop Rd between SH1 and Marine Parade are now scheduled to take place 9pm to 6am each night Sunday 29 March to Wednesday 1 April.

Plan ahead for overnight CLOSURES of Sefton St East/Port Loop Rd between SH1 and Marine Parade starting on Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 March, from 9pm to 5am each night for road rebuild work.

Detour to the port via North St, Stafford St, Heaton St and Hayes St. Reverse for access to SH1.

HPMVs, large and long trucks to use King St, Heaton St and Hayes St.

This work depends on various factors and may be amended or rescheduled; an update will be provided in the comment section. ^JP

The Timaru Information Centre are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic person to join our team at the Timaru Information Centre for a short-term contract. This role is to cover for a staff member on leave for surgery. You'll be promoting local tourism and making bookings for visitors, so excellent customer service and computer skills are a must. The position requires working Saturdays and one or two weekdays, a minimum of 13 hours per week, with a positive and professional attitude.
Experience in sales and knowledge of the Timaru District are a plus.

Did you know we are open Saturdays 10am - 3pm? If you are needing to sort out your metro card pop on down and we can sort you out.
Te Ana Māori Rock Art is also open the same hours, if you are wanting to visit I recommend coming to visit by 2pm so that you get a solid hour in the centre. We have local rates!!
