✈️ A positive update for anyone with travel plans to the Middle East or beyond through here on their radar. 🇦🇪

Today, after 4 months, SafeTravel New Zealand lowered its travel advisory level for the United Arab Emirates and parts of the Gulf region, which is welcome news for travellers and the travel industry alike.

If you already have a trip booked, this should provide some added confidence as you count down to departure. I am working through my current bookings. And if destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi or beyond have been sitting on your wish list, now could be the perfect time to start planning.

As always, I’ll continue to keep a close eye on official travel advice and updates, but for now it’s encouraging to see things moving in the right direction.

✨DOMESTIC KORU LOUNGE WELLINGTON AIRPORT✨

For those travelling through Wellington Airport over the coming weeks, please be aware that the Air New Zealand Domestic Lounge remains closed following the terminal fire on Friday evening.

At this stage there is no confirmed reopening date, as ongoing assessments are still taking place.

In the meantime:
✈️ The Regional Lounge is operating with a reduced food offering and temporary arrangements to help manage increased demand.
✈️ Eligible lounge customers travelling on Domestic or Regional services will receive updates via the Air NZ app and SMS.
✈️ Koru Silver members using lounge eVouchers will be advised that lounge access is currently unavailable.
✈️ During busy periods, when the Regional Lounge reaches capacity, alternative options such as takeaway coffee may be offered.

Thank you for your patience while Air New Zealand and Wellington Airport work through the recovery process. I’ll continue to share updates as more information becomes available.
