Do you know of a family that could do with a fun day out that maybe just doesn't have the means?

Then PAY IT FORWARD! The first 10 people to private message us will receive a FREE Return Family Pass to pass on to whomever they wish, when they purchase their own Return Family Pass!

The passes will be available to use on any weekday ride! Family passes apply to (2 x adults + 2 x children) OR (1 x adult + 3 x children).

The train finally pulled in to Waikino Station today which signals the joining of the track and the end of putting in the new bridge. This was only made possible by the dedicated bunch of volunteers that slogged their hearts out in the heat on Saturday and Sunday,

A HUGE thank you goes out to the following members of the Waihi community that put their hands up: Fenella Johnston, Jacqueline Taituha, Gerard Mapu, Daniel Tippett, John Tippett, Ben Lewis and Gordy Adlam. And the following volunteers from Goldfields Railway: Dave, Dale, Chris, Chris, Stu, Peter and Jim.

We will be back up and fully operational from Thursday the 21st December.
