The magical Perry Bridge spans 130m across New Zealands longest river 'Waikato Te Awa' (The Waikato River). Just 4km from the northern start point of Te Awa 'The Great NZ River Ride' in Ngaruawahia, The Perry bridge is a must visit stand out feature along the 61km trail that follows the river via Hamilton and Cambridge to Lake Karapiro. The bridge was officially opened with a community event at the Ngaruawahia Golf Club on November 2nd, 2017. The Perry Bridge has won international architecture and engineering awards and has been a major contribution to the increase in cycling and walking activity in the Waikato region.
