This page has been designed firstly to let local people know of events happening in Wainuiomata and our region as well as to assist tourists with info

rmation about Wainuiomata, the local walks, activities and attractions. My name is Denise and I am an experienced Graphic Artist having completed many design assignments, mainly for Tourism Businesses. I have recently given up my full time job as a Sales Manager for a major international company to return to doing what I love - designing eco clothing and helping businesses with their branding. This has give me time to assist Wainuiomata Businesses with their Branding and to introduce Wainuiomata to the Domestic and International Tourist. I believe that we have a beautiful place here with amazing spectacular scenery that is home to the National Icon (the Kiwi). I know for sure - having worked in tourism in one of the most popular tourist destinations in New Zealand that alot of people both from New Zealand and Overseas would love to see this place and spend time here. Overseas tourists love to get out into Nature as most of them come from places that 'Nature' - like we know it does not exist. We have 4x4 bike adventures, guided walking just around the corner, a sort after mountain biking track, horse treking and more ... and we have Kiwi's
.. no other city in New Zealand has the Kiwi living so close as Wellington does. What an opportunity for the eco tourist to see where they live. Please join with me in being proud to be a resident from Wainuiomata New Zealand. regards

This week at Wainuiomata Women we are making hanging lace perfume balls from waste and discarded lace. (Or for a drawer).

Friday - 10am at Valley Church, 21 Fitzherbert Rd, Wainuiomata. $2 to cover morning tea and resources.

THRIFT SHOPPING - UPPER HUTT

This week join Gaylene and Denise on an excursion to Upper Hutt hunting out the local second hand shops.

We will be meeting at Valley Church, 21 Fitzherbert Road at 10am on Friday and we will be organising car pooling to leave at approximately 10.15am. We will stop for morning tea along the way.

We will be visiting approximately 5-6 different shops with a visit time in each shop of about 15 minutes.

This Friday we're card making at our Wainuiomata Women group.

We meet in the foyer of Valley Church, 21 Fitzherbert Road, Wainuiomata, at10am. A $2 donation helps to cover costs of morning tea & resources.

NB: The group name depicts where we hold our women's group but women who live outside of Wainuiomata are still welcome to come along. We're a very friendly & caring bunch of ladies :)

Come in & sign the petition to protect our local pharmacies!

I just did!

This petition is to the Hutt Valley DHB to reconsider their decision to allow Countdown to have a pharmacy as I feel that the DHB does not acknowledge & support everything we & our friends at Wainuiomata Pharmacy & Lotto do & will continue to do to support our community.

You've got until the end of this week to sign!
