We are in a cyclone so the weather forecast isn't the best. Our guests have swapped the weekend of their holiday and we were happy to agree. You can't enjoy the beach but there are other activities available in the area.

I decided to make a new cushion for the lodge. Nothing like some crafting to fill in the time!

Willow came home tonight. A big relief. Thanks for your support.

We have given my Mums cat, Willow, a new home after my Mum recently passed away. She has been with us for 2 weeks but has disappeared overnight. I have a tag on her, and a tracker but cannot find her. The tracker needs cellphones nearby.

She is fluffy, brindle and white cat. We are located on the straights near Waipu Cove. Please get in touch if you find her.

We just replaced the crockery at Makai Lodge as part of our spring clean. Doesn't it remind you of holidays near the beach?

We had our first guests last weekend and they enjoyed their stay. Another 5* review from them, we love giving people a place to enjoy their vacation.

I have decreased our prices for the next two weeks. Have a look at your diary and see if you can stay at Makai for a nice break away.
