🚨 SERVICE UPDATE & ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚨

πŸ’§ Wastewater Update
Due to high inflow levels at our pump stations from the ongoing severe weather, some households may experience toilets not flushing properly. This is caused by excessive stormwater entering the system. Please note more heavy rain is expected for our district.

There is little that can be done during periods of heavy rainfall. Levels are expected to reduce once the rain eases. In the meantime, if it's yellow, let it mellow where possible to help reduce pressure on the system.

🚧 Road Closure - Tiniroto Road
From 4pm today, Tiniroto Road will be closed just past the Te Reinga turnoff.
The closure will be reviewed tomorrow at 11am.
Please avoid the area and plan alternative routes.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue responding to conditions across the district.

🌿 Waikaremoana Great Walk – FULLY OPEN 🌿

Confirming the Waikaremoana Great Walk is now fully open from Onepoto through to Hopuruahine.

All sections of the track are safe and ready to welcome manuhiri. Although, as expected for Waikaremoana, the track is still wet and muddy in places so don't forget your extra socks. Walkers can now enjoy the full Waikaremoana experience without detours or closures.

πŸ›ΆπŸš Both water taxi and land taxi will be operating as normal.

Thank you for your patience and care. A big mihi to all our kaimahi who worked hard to get this track back open 🌿

See you out there!
