SH3 MOKAU TO MAHOENUI (AWAKINO GORGE) - HEAVY RAIN - FINAL UPDATE 2PM

SH3 Awakino Gorge is now OPEN.

Due to heavy rain SH3 Awakino Gorge is now CLOSED from Awakino Historic Tunnel and the intersection with Manganui Rd. Road users are advised to avoid the area and delay your journey if possible.

Road users are being advised to use SH4 and SH1 as the alternative state highway route and should not travel to the closure area. Please follow all signage, traffic management, and any instructions from onsite staff.^JP
