Did you know that New Zealand is home to the world’s only alpine parrot? 🏔️
Check out the incredible Kea (𝑁𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟 𝑛𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑠)! These birds are famous for being exceptionally intelligent and incredibly playful, but also beautifully mischievous.
They are quick learners and problem-solvers, often outsmarting human-made challenges!
They live across the South Island's alpine regions and forests. Keep an eye out for them at mountain lookouts, ski fields, and tramping tracks around Arthur's Pass, Mount Cook, and Fiordland.
