The One Room Fan Museum

Such a fun visit Christmas Eve from Smial Lorien, the Barcelona Tolkien club. 16+ folk at the Fan Museum (!!!) followed by costume walk among Mt Vic filming sites. Such a blast!! And, I loved the way Wellingtonians out strolling were so encouraging and friendly - I love this city and felt so proud that we could give these folk from a premier tourist city such a fantastic time. Also, we met up the evening before at the waterfront (Las Ramblas of Welly? Maybe not), and made a pilgrimage to the Embassy. Wonderful fun. Thanks Oskar and the crew, you were a total delight. And thanks Emily, Trudy and our families for turning out to welcome these visitors and join the fun 😃

Those ROTK world premiere pics really took me back - and reminded me that I haven't posted for simply ages! That doesn't mean nothing's happening in the Fan Museum - the opposite in fact. It's been quite busy with fans from many lands swinging by. Here's a fantastic keyhole shot through the big Ring from a Canadian family group who visited recently - weirdly they also wanted a pic with me in it. Gosh it was fun, thanks guys!!! 😀🌿🏹

Godspeed, Bernard Hill. Folks will be sharing memories of his various roles today, but for me, Théoden King stands alone - a standout performance in a film series full of standout performances.
