Mobi Sailing

Mobi Sailing Mobi Sailing was started by a passionate sailor on a shoestring. We strive for adventure and spontan Along the way, plans can fall apart.

Mobi Sailing started as an idea inspired by the Möbius strip. Before one embarks on a sailing journey, there is planning, mapping of charts, checking the wind and current, and hoping for fair weather. There can be a twist or turn along the way just like the Möbius strip but in the end you get back to where you started. Or you keep going, and there will be more unknowns along the way lurking in the

sea, waiting to be explored. Our site and social media pages are here to capture and share with you the experiences of sailors on these journeys along different rivers, canals, oceans, and past towns, cities and states. The current adventure, Solo Sailing With Friends, started in Portland, ME in late October, travels down to the Mississippi River Delta, and back on a Cape Dory 22 named Wind Song II. This trip is about spending time with great friends or taking the time to make some. Whether you’ve just started getting into sailing or you’ve been sailing for years, there will always be something to learn for you on this adventure. So come join Captain Jim for a month, a week, or even a day as he makes his way to New Orleans or bust!
