Western Australia is calling! 📞

For those looking to relax and unwind on their holiday, Swan Valley is located just 25 minutes out of Perth and offers visitors the best wines, breweries, chocolate factories and local produce such as cheese, honey and nougat 🧀🍯 enjoy wine tastings, gourmet lunches and even river cruises from Perth to the valley.

Our team’s adventures continue!

Ruth, one of our Wellington-based Consultants, was lucky enough to win a spot on the Tourism NT round-up Famil to central Australia’s Red Centre – located in the heart of Australia🏜️🦘

My trip got off to a rocky start with a delayed flight, but thankfully, I was able to make the most of it with a day exploring Sydney, arriving in Alice Springs a few hours later than planned. Once in Alice Springs, I met up with the rest of the group and we spent the evening at Earth Sanctuary - World Nature Centre, famous for its Dark Sky experience 🌌 we were able to see some of the stars through the clouds!

The next day, we travelled to Kings Canyon, where we were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter ride, marvelling at the uninterrupted views over the canyon! We even managed to sneak in a trip to the Bruce Munro light towers installation, making the most of our wet weather day in Kings Canyon.

Following our day trip, the group headed to Yulara (home of Uluaru and Kata Juta), stopping in at the Karrake Aboriginal Cultural Centre on the way, immersing ourselves in a genuine Aboriginal cultural experience! We had the best tour guide, making the most of the unique weather conditions we were experiencing ☔

What a fantastic trip! While it was a reminder that although things may not always go as planned, there are many ways you can change your plans to make your time overseas work for you!

Yvette Park, one of our experienced Consultants has recently returned from her South African trip with World Journeys, where she spent her time exploring Cape Town, Johannesburg and a couple of national parks including Kruger.

On our first day, we took the Winelands tour🍇, choosing three different wineries which allowed us to try a range of different wine varieties. The sommeliers at these wineries were so knowledgeable about the wines and the vineyards 🍷 We even had time to stop and shop in Franschhoek, a town with beautiful Cape Dutch architecture and lots of boutique stores.

We spent some time exploring Cape Town where our guide organised fast track tickets to get us up Table Top Mountain before heading to downtown Cape Town to visit some local museums, the V&A waterfront, and Boaap Street with its multicoloured houses – a great photo opportunity! 🏘️ 📷

After Cape Town, we visited two different safari lodges - &Beyond Ngala Safari Lodge in Kruger and Madikwe Lodge near the border of Botswana. The safari tours in both areas were incredible and the scenery was quite different. The guides were extremely passionate and knowledgeable, making sure we had an unforgettable experience!
