Hi there, I’m Charmaine Hawke – a self-proclaimed beer lover and travel geek. I have a passion for travel, good food & beer,experience, culture and fun! Being a traveller all of my life and a people person, my logical career path was to work in the travel industry. So for 4

years I worked as a travel agent. I became a mother in 2005 and made the decision to become a Travel Broker in order to give me the flexibility of working from home and still do what I was passionate about. I also found I could offer a more personal and extensive service brokering rather than in the retail environment of a travel agency, with many of my clients now making the transition from client to friend. I love experiencing different cultures, I love history & geography and most of all I love learning. I am being paid to do just that - to learn. The stranger the place a person wants to go, the stranger the experience they want to have, I get to learn about and impart that knowledge on to the client for them to then go and experience for themselves. How does beer fit in? Other than travel and all that that entails, I also LOVE Beer and in particular the Craft Beer scene (some may call me a Beer Snob!). The idea had been brewing (pun intended) about creating Beer Tours overseas for other enthusiasts like me. So combining my two loves ‘Travel and Beer’ Hop Abroad was born. I’m so pleased to offer this unique holiday experience - taste a tipple overseas, discover the World’s finest brewing, sightsee, experience other cultures and to have some adventure. Those who know me, know I am absolutely passionate about what I do and I love that I can help people realise their travel dreams. Start of an epic road trip with my daughter, ticked off our first National Park. Theodore Roosevelt is not on the tourist trail but well worth the visit. Spectacular landscape and plenty of wildlife, Bison on the road is an experience in itself.
