Why we decided to live in a bus?
Travelling and living full time in a Mini bus with this guy has really transformed our relationship. Like another layer of life has been added to it.

We’ll look back and cherish all the memories of “that year we lived in a bus in New Zealand”

At the beginning i was open to it, but as times got tough and I found I wasn’t adjusting well, I almost gave up and left.

Reading the stories and seeing the latest Instagram posts, looked like it could be fun and chill....But no one shared the real s**t of life coupled with a 30 year old mini bus tour.

How do we get money for our worth?
How do we change our money mindset?
How do we nourish ourselves and each other?
How do we maintain our sanity on rainy days?
How do we give ourselves a sense of direction or purpose?
What do we do when communication is lost in a tiny house?
How do we overcome toxic behaviour and show compassion?
What does s*x really mean to us?
What are our bodies telling us?

But ultimately, the buslife has shown us exactly what we do and don’t want to move forward with our next adventure.

I’ve grown new pathways in my mind that are pushing me closer to my dreams. I’m completely aware of who I want to be, with myself and within my relationship.

Living in a bus has woken me up!

So if you’re feeling like you’ve done something a million times or you just want to get out of your comfort zone. Try living in a bus for 18 months!

You’ll grow like wild flowers 🌱

I am a traveller at heart
I always work hard and save hard to travel hard
But this time last year we decided a new way of travelling and that was a complete lifestyle change
We bought a bus to live and travel in New Zealand full time
We are free spirited but craved a different way to do in our 20s
This wasn’t just an elongated holiday abroad
We brought all our values, desires and of course fears of life to the table
I didn’t want this to just be a tick ✔️, done! instagram hashtag temporary travel phase,
but I almost wanted to timestamp this year in my life
Really make it meaningful
There were two feels that weren’t sitting right with me and ultimately showed me exactly what I needed to shift in order to feel connected to this experience
And it was the fundamentals of
my relationship with food and
my relationship with money
I was confused and disconnected from living & travelling happily in a bus
I had no appreciation or understanding of what kind of nourishment we had access to while on the road, where to store it, how to cook it conveniently and keep its nutritional value
I thought working outside doing seasonal jobs would be enjoyable, but I left these jobs feeling more unsatisfied and unfulfilled than ever
Isagenix came into my life 6 months ago
And has given me the foundations I called for
I am now practising mindful eating every day
I have this incredible natural energy and I feel how happy my gut and mind are having a holistic system integrated into my lifestyle
And then having a business model attached to these amazing products,
Meant that if I love the products I can share them
I think about all the things I have shared in my life
And with something as powerful as this
I’m feeling even more fulfilled with a passion project like isagenix
It helps me fund my travels and eat these products for free
I’m beyond grateful to use this nutritional cleansing system in my life

We decided to live in a bus for a CHANGE of lifestyle 🤩

To explore New Zealand our way. We had lived the 9-5 for over a year in Wellington and we worked so hard, we saved so hard that we just wanted a break.
⠀⠀
But a change of lifestyle was the ultimate goal...
⠀⠀
And this meant changing our money mindset, how do we get money, how do we spend it? Savings? What’s that? 😂

Very quickly I realised I wanted to work online, I wanted to be able to work from my laptop. I tried to do the blogging, that didn’t work, building my following, why do I have to speak to the masses? And then I found this!

We are half way through the APPLE HARVEST in Timaru 🙌🏼🙌🏼 thank f**k

It’s hard work that’s for sure
Unfortunately, we are treated like s**t and there’s been a few rainy days, we’ve been getting soaked in 🌧 because they don’t provide us wet weather gear 🤬
⠀⠀
And people think it’s okay to settle into this way of being treated just because we need the money🤨

It’s meant to be an experience, not a place where we are taken advantage of

I’m choosing my work environment
I’m choosing how & when I get paid

I am practising patience with them blimmin apples and trying not to fall off a ladder so I can go home 😂😂

I’ll be in a little bus at the beach
Connecting with the most vivacious humans all over the world

Why we decided to live in a bus?

To challenge our 💰

We used to earn heaps of money
We saved heaps of money
And now we have spent heaps of money 😆
Because we bought a 30 year old bus 🚌 ⠀⠀
She’s taken us all over NZ and has shown us there is more to life then paying someone else’s mortgage, settling and listening to that constant BS sound track of life. ⠀⠀
But NOW the money we earn
goes so directly to OUR home, travel & transport
Our money mindset is stronger than ever
We don’t earn very much money
And we don’t save
And we don’t spend much either
⠀⠀
It’s not relative, it’s personal and here is what we have experienced living on the road in NZ money mentality🙏🏽🙏🏽
⠀⠀
1. Plan and budget, this is simple to do because I fricken love but I use cash-flows, weekly budgets and what we need to pay for in the up coming months. Makes life a whole lot easier having a sense of direction for our money. Even if it doesn’t go according to plan, we can see how much we have and when to ask for help💫
⠀⠀
2. We have enough money! Expanding your comforts zones is something that the buslife has taught us. Instead of feeling like we never have enough, we shift our mindset and it’s less stressful. We appreciate and value our money, we have a great quality of life.

3. We no longer emotionally spend or feel bad about spending. The scarcity mindset is so common these days, but we know what we want to spend our money on, we know when to treat ourselves and when it’s good to invest money on things that will return a profit in the future.

4. Multiple income streams: We have a couple of income streams but primarily its seasonal jobs. However, the more you have, the more money you can make in less time, im so open minded about my network marketing business as is just the beginning guys 🔥

💪🏽We used to think about how much money was in our bank accounts, to save for that trip to South of France or Bali, to save hard for the house or apartment, now it’s about how we circulate our money in the right places that leads us to abundance. ⠀⠀
We are so fricken blessed! Learning every single day 🙏🏽
