Wadi Al Hawasnah in Al-Khabourah (Batinah region)
Known for its unique geological formations and where one can marvel at the fascinating nature. The area is shrouded in its primitive beauty and one can observe rocks originally found on the ocean floor.
This geological structure constitutes a key route running through a rock belt from the Al-Batinah plain in the east to Ibri in the west. The wadi, which descends along the high western Hajar Mountains bordering Wilayat Ibri, is characterized by its content of igneous rock structures such as pillow lava, sharp-edged rock blades and columns.
It is fed by several tributaries, such as Wadi Dhila and discharges its waters into the Gulf of Oman between the village of Qasabiyat Al-Zaabi and Qasabiyat Al-Hawasnah in Al-Khabourah.
The gushing wadi near the villages of Ghab and Falaj Al-Majajah and the picturesque scenery of Al-Badia village are a joy for the eyes.

Fazayah Beach (also known as Al-Fazaiah or Al-Fizayah) is one of the best beaches in Oman.
A 5 km of long, quiet and secluded stretch of soft white sand, clear water and breathtaking scenery in the Dhofar governorate.
Located to the west, 64 km from Salalah airport, after Mughsayl beach, a winding road leads to the beautiful white sand of Fazayah beach.
The limestone cliffs and pinnacles, decorated at the base by perfect sandy coves, are perfect for wild camping.
In 2018, a small cargo ship Raysut II, partially loaded and subsequently stranded on Al-Fazayah Beach (a nesting site for endangered sea turtles), was abandoned and pushed closer to shore during Cyclone Luban. It was subsequently removed in February 2019. The presence of the wreck would spoil the beautiful view, but it would show the power of the sea once provoked.
