With the arrival of the wave season in the Panamanian Pacific, we managed to catch one of its first swells. Although it wasn’t like the first XXL swell from previous weeks in Central America, it gave us a good taste of how spicy some of the Santeños Pointbreaks (in the province of Los Santos) can get.

After the entire group of Brazilian surfers arrived on the first morning flights to Panama, the next day the swell also began to arrive. The first session of surfing featured overhead waves so powerful they broke a few leashes.

Wave selection played a predominant role in the first sessions at the pointbreaks there, but as the swell increased in size and power, we had to opt for beach breaks with perfect waves and fewer crowds.

This surf trip was unique in that it featured the experienced Surf Coach , from one of Brazil’s most prestigious surf academies, , and the travel logistics were provided by another regional leader of World Surf Trips, .

As the Leading Surf Trip company in Panama, we were able to show the visiting group of surfers what Panama’s Pacific Coast is made of, so they could take home unforgettable surf sessions…

The comfort and local excellence of offered the group the much-needed rest and exclusive meals featuring Panamanian and international cuisine.
