Colombia, only 1 hour away from Panama City by airplane. If you have time to discover it yourself, I highly recommend it. From Cartagena to nacional park Tayrona, Medellin and Guatapé . Friendly people, delicious food and extraordinary landscapes, you have it all.
For the adventurous , there is a 5-day cruise along Bocas del Toro and the kuna yale islands and so you sailing on to Cartagena.

Bocas del Toro located in the north-west of Panama counts an archipielago of 200 islands .
This is the perfect spot for snorkeling and dolphin watching.
The relaxed " laid-back " atmosphere sometimes leads to a drink and a little dance .

The San Blas Islands, also called the Kuna Yale islands are an archipielago of 357 islands located on the Caribbean coast of Panama. An island for each day according to the Indians. The islands are still inhabited by the native Indians (Kuna) who have self-government of the region. These bounty islands are the perfect place to enjoy sun, sea and beaches , you can compare it with the Maldives, only here it is budget friendly ;-).

Boquete is a small town on the Caldera river. Because of it's altitude the climate is allways cooler than the lowlands. It is well known for it's coffee, judged to be among the finest in the world.
