Hola a todos!!

While we patiently wait to get connected to the power grid, our solar that we installed in the Casita is working perfectly.

We have been living in the Casita for over two weeks now, and we have identified a few accessories that will make the bathroom more functional and a little more comfortable.

We had a couple rugs made locally by our friend from Casa Lassini, Kate Lassen!! Thank you Kate!

The shower rack is a little ways from the shower so we installed a hook to stage your towel while you’re in the shower.

We wanted to provide options for hanging wet clothes, so in addition to a clothesline outside, we installed a retractable cable clothesline in the Casita shower.

Lastly, we installed a soap dispenser so that we can provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to our future guests.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make progress on the little things that make life at Casa de Wali better every day and please pray that we will get our power hooked up as quickly as possible.

Hola a todos!! So this week we had the solar for the casita configured and it is working great!!

The safety bar for the pool was installed yesterday and it is exactly what we asked for.

We also installed our Starlink system so now it is time for stress tests on these systems!

This week is shaping up to be a busy one at Casa de Wali! We have our ongoing solar installation for the cabaña y piscina plus the large propane tank was delivered.

We should have the solar install and the gas connections all complete this week which will give us some limited options for off grid power while we await our primary connection.

Hola a todos! It has been a while since our last update. We have been navigating the processes for all of our appropriate inspections to certify the final construction permits. Good news is that we have completed this and have submitted everything to request our permanent prime power hookup.

A couple of weeks ago we had some 3m tall foxtail palms planted to start adding our tropical vegetation to the property. This week we will be installing a solar system to specifically power the casita and the pool pump house!

Well the new year has brought further progress at our project! The pool and associated deck has taken shape and our custom security doors were finished and installed! We are getting very close to the finish line!

We hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas!! As we close out 2024, here is our final update of the year for Casa de Wali!

The pool work is moving fast, we had beautiful internal doors installed, cabinets are still in progress, the interior painting has begun and the outdoor latern lights are going up.

Right now we are on track to be finished with the project at the end of January. Stay tuned for the final push!!

More progress at Casa de Wali! Lights, fans and A/C units installed and the pool is underway!

Despite the unusually heavy rains in the last couple weeks, work continued at Casa de Wali. Pathways around the structures were poured, floor and wall tiling was completed, gutters were attached and cabinets have started to be installed.

More cabinets this next week along with the doors and weather permitting the start of the pool!
