Finca Cuyancua is owned by the Trigueros family since 1888 & has now expanded with their 5th generation bringing their Salvadoran cacao to the global market through their partnership in Italy.

Completed the Gatun Locks & now sailing 85ft above sea level on the man made Gatun Lake for 2.5hrs.

✅ Gatun Lake: We sailed through a man-made rainforest oasis.
✅ Pedro Miguel & Miraflores Locks: Dropped us back down to sea level.
✅ ZERO pumps - the whole system runs on 100% gravity.

However, in the Panama Canal, the Pilots are an elite group of highly specialized experts who take full control of ships during the 8-10 hour, 50-mile transit. Every vessel requires at least 1 pilot to navigate the extremely narrow locks, ensuring safety and precision in a complex environment that demands intense, specialized training that is a minimum of 8.5 years.
