Introductions: My name is Chaeli. I am an ecologist by training.👩‍🔬, former researcher and park ranger. My husband is from Veraguas. I'm a mom to a kindergartener🕺, co-own and I have named one waterfall in the area.

I lead many of our day treks in remote areas, and it is what I do in my spare time too! I can spend an hour going 100ft, being amazed at the insects and trees, water and river. In our activities, I love best sharing with people what I love about , and making sure they have a great trek for them.

I approach leading hikes as "the guide by my side" rather than the "sage on the stage", I point out things as we go, but really let people enjoy and experience nature.

I have a healthy fear of javelinas, get excited about tapir tracks, tall trees, love frogs, and get furious at deforestation in .

Our rates run from $30pp-$85pp for our day treks, and focus on groups of 5 people or less. I would be happy to talk more!

Nature should have no boundaries. I am happy to work with those who do want a backcountry experience but are worried if they are in good enough shape. 🙋‍♀️ No worries, I have been there too. That's the nice thing about the backcountry, the trail is the route you choose to take.

Looking down on guest Stephan's hat as we trek in . Here we used hammock straps to help in a short steep area. Yes, my secret go-to tool for short descents on muddy rainforest slopes - they are Lightweight, good in water, built in 'handholds' and easy to loop around a tree.

Segun un estudio global recien publicado, El Parque Nacional de Santa Fe y Omar Torrijos al lado ayudan a protejer 1 de solo 4 areas de Bosque intacto en Panama (mas de 50000 hectareas sin impacto humano)! Hay senderos oficiales en El parque para explorar (Cerro Tute, Cerro Mariposa, Bermejo, Chilagre, Loma Grande, y El loop de la Oficina)

Cerro Mariposa trail hike yesterday with my dad! He turns 71 next month, and it was a pleasure to take him exploring, as he did with us when we were younger. It's a beautiful hike (but steep) no matter your age.
