Queswachaca incabridge
Step back in time with a visit to the Q’eswachaka Inca Bridge, the last remaining handwoven rope bridge from the Inca Empire, still rebuilt every year using ancestral techniques passed down through generations. Located about 3.5 hours south of Cusco, this remarkable bridge spans the Apurímac River canyon at over 3,700 meters (12,100 ft) above sea level. Made entirely from ichu grass and traditional plant fibers, Q’eswachaka is a living example of Inca engineering, community work, and cultural continuity.
