🏛️ Stone, precision and symbolism: the constructions of Machu Picchu ✨
One of the things that impresses the most when walking through the citadel is the quality of its constructions. The Incas built every wall, every room and every temple fitting stone blocks together without using mortar, with an exactness that makes them withstand centuries of rain, wind and earthquakes.

Among the most interesting constructions of the site are the Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Condor and the House of the Guardian. Each one has its own design, its own symbolism and its own place within the ceremonial and daily life of the citadel.

Visiting Machu Picchu and taking the time to walk through each of these constructions completely changes the experience. 🌿✨ It is not just seeing the landscape, it is understanding the city that the Incas built more than 500 years ago. Which of these constructions catches your attention the most?

🌊 Visit Lake Titicaca: A place full of history, culture and landscapes ✨
For the Andean cultures, Lake Titicaca was not just a lake, it was the origin of the world. According to Inca mythology, it was here that Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo came out of its waters by order of the Sun god to found Cusco and start the Inca Empire.

Today, Titicaca is still a destination full of life. The Uros Islands, built on floating reeds, show a way of life that has been kept for centuries. Taquile Island and Amantani Island welcome travelers with their textiles, customs, and their hospitality. Each island has something different to offer.

At more than 3,800 m.a.s.l. and with an area of almost 8,500 km², Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world and one of the most complete destinations in Peru. 🌿✨ Do you already have it on your travel list?

🌄 This is what awaits you when you arrive at Humantay Lake 🏔️
The hike to Humantay Lake takes about 2 hours from the starting point in Soraypampa, going up a high trail surrounded by Andean landscapes. It is not an easy hike, you can feel the altitude, but the trip itself is already worth the visit.

Upon arriving, the lake appears with its deep turquoise waters framed by the snowy Humantay mountain and the mountains that surround it. It is a clear, wide view and hard to find anywhere else. The kind that makes you take out your camera and stay a good while without wanting to go down yet.

Humantay Lake is perfect for those looking for an accessible mountain experience, with top-level landscapes and no need for several days of trekking. 🌿✨ Have you visited it yet?

🌈 Pallay Punchu: the colored mountain that few know 🌈
A few hours from Cusco, in the Canas province, hides one of the most impressive and least visited mountains in the region. Pallay Punchu stands out not only for its colors but also for its sharp and characteristic shape that makes it unique among all the colored mountains of Peru.

The trip to reach the top takes about 2 to 3 hours of walking through open highland landscapes, with the high-altitude wind and the Andes stretching in all directions. The best of all are the panoramic views and the peace that this place offers. 🌿✨ Have you already heard of Pallay Punchu?

🎭 Cusco has its own way of celebrating life 🎭
Every festivity in Cusco is a reminder that this culture never stopped existing. The streets fill with dancers in costumes that took months to make, with musicians who play melodies that come from very far in time, and with whole communities that go out to celebrate with joy. Here, parties are not organized, they are felt.

The most valuable thing about these celebrations is what is behind them: generations of families who have taken care of their customs with dedication, who teach their children the steps of each dance and the meaning of each ritual. The Inti Raymi, the Corpus Christi, the patron fairs... each one carries centuries of history and the identity of a people who keeps choosing to remember who they are.

And when one gets to witness them, the least they can do is look at them with open eyes and with the heart, ready to learn. 🌿 Because Cusco does not only celebrate its past, it celebrates what it continues to be. Have you already had the chance to live it?

✨ Discover the Magic of Machu Picchu among landscapes, History and Llamas! ✨

There are places that one thinks they know from seeing them so much in photos, and Machu Picchu is one of them. But getting there and having it in front of you is another thing: the mountains, the fog moving among the ruins, the Urubamba river down below, and that feeling that everything was built exactly where it had to be.

Walking through it slowly is what is worth it. The Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun, the ceremonial squares, the farming terraces that go down the hillside... each part of the site has its own history, and with a good guide, everything starts to make sense. Here was found one of the civilizations that controlled the stone, the water, and the weather in a way that still today is hard to explain completely.

Furthermore, here the llamas graze calmly among the ruins as if the place were theirs. Which, in a certain way, it is. 🦙 Machu Picchu is one of those sites that stay with you. Not only in the photos, but in the memory in another way. It is an experience that is worth every step of the way to arrive. ❤️🏔️

Come and let yourself be captivated by the magic of this ancient sanctuary! ✨

✨Have you explored the Sacred Valley of the Incas yet?✨

Just a few kilometers from the imperial city is the Sacred Valley of the Incas. A place that stretches between Cusco and Machu Picchu, which is full of impressive landscapes and archaeological sites.

Tour the impressive agricultural terraces of Pisac, on the mountain slopes, and let yourself be amazed by the fortress and ceremonial site of Ollantaytambo, an Inca town with an impressive history. Discover the agricultural laboratory of Moray, with its concentric circles, and the fascinating Maras Salt Mines, a spectacle of salt pools. Each stop has its own history, and none disappoints. 🗿🌿

But the valley is not just archaeology. Here are also the colorful markets and the communities, which keep their traditions, and we must not forget the impressive landscapes that force you to stop and simply look. 🌿 Come and let yourself be captivated by the magic of the Sacred Valley! ✨👣

✨ Choquequirao: The Secret Sanctuary of the Incas! ✨

Hidden among the mountains of the Cusco region, Choquequirao is one of the most impressive and least visited Inca citadels in Peru. At more than 3,000 meters above sea level, its terraces, temples, and ceremonial squares emerge from the fog like a secret that the Andes have kept for centuries. A wonder that leaves you speechless.

Getting to it is not easy, and that is part of its magic. The trekking route to Choquequirao takes about 4 to 5 days of walking, crossing deep ravines, cloud forests, and landscapes that change at every turn of the road. It is a demanding tour, but every effort pays off when you reach the top and see the citadel unfold in front of you.

If you are looking for a real adventure, away from mass tourism and full of history, Choquequirao is your answer. Few know it… and those who arrive, never forget it. 🌿✨ Would you dare to do this trek?

✨ The Maras Salt Mines: An Ancient Treasure and a Natural Spectacle! ✨

The Maras Salt Mines have been producing salt for over a thousand years in the heights of Cusco, at 3,380 masl. What started with the Wari people before the Inca Empire, today is still done by about 200 families from the community: without machines, without chemicals, just spring water, Andean sun, and the knowledge passed down from parents to children. 🧂

Its more than 3,000 pools carved into the mountainside are not just an impressive landscape, they are the support of an entire community. 🏞️ The pink salt extracted here is recognized in fine dining and is exported to several countries as a gourmet product, but its real value is in something priceless: it is a legacy left to us by our ancestors.

Visit the Maras Salt Mines and observe the handmade process that has lasted for centuries. These are only 40 km from Cusco and can be combined with Moray on the same trip. Come and marvel at this fascinating landscape! ✨👣
