So we started our day in Ollantaytambo, and what an incredible day it was!
Ollantaytambo was where the Incas won the most important battle against the Spanish at the time of the conquest. Hey, did you hear about Manco Inca? The guy leads the Inca rebel army and manages to stop the Spanish advance by flooding the fields around the walled terraces of Ollantaytambo. What a genius!
Not only was it a key site to watch over the surrounding valleys, but it was also a strategic military point that was used to its fullest! Well look, from here we get the idea that for the Incas nothing was done by pure chance.

Palcoyo is not only a colorful mountain, but a group of three of them located in a beautiful Andean landscape. Its attractiveness also includes some other hills marbled with the same colors, an impressive forest of stones and a privileged viewpoint from where the Ausangate can be appreciated like in no other place.
