👉 “De templo sagrado… a una de las cárceles más aterradoras del Perú.”
📍 En Qaqa Cárcel existe una “prisión de piedra” tallada dentro de una enorme roca… pero lo más impactante es esto:
👉 Fue construida por los mismos indígenas que luego serían encerrados ahí.
😨 Durante la colonia, quienes se negaban a trabajar en las minas eran llevados a sus calabozos húmedos y oscuros, donde muchos morían en pocos días.
🪨 Y lo más curioso: antes de ser cárcel, ese lugar era una huaca sagrada inca, un sitio ceremonial.

📍 In Qaqa Cárcel, there's a "stone prison" carved into a massive rock... but the most shocking thing is this:
👉 It was built by the same Indigenous people who would later be imprisoned there.
😨 During the colonial period, those who refused to work in the mines were taken to its damp, dark dungeons, where many died within days.
🪨 And the most curious thing: before becoming a prison, this place was a sacred Inca huaca, a ceremonial site.
