This year, heavy rains caused landslides and damage in different parts of the Inca Trail, forcing the Ministry of Culture to temporarily stop visitors from entering. 🌧️👷‍♂️

If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, the first thing is to follow the instructions of your guide 🧭, who knows the land and decides the best option for the group to arrive safely. Before leaving, check the weather report and confirm the state of the route with your operator. If conditions do not improve, there are other ways to enter and policies to change your date or get a refund depending on the case.
