Due to the current international situation in the Middle East, some of our clients have asked about the safety of traveling to Perú.

We would like to inform you that Perú remains a safe and stable destination for tourism. The events in that region have no direct impact on our country.

All major tourist destinations continue to operate normally, including Cusco, Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, Lake Titicaca, Arequipa, Lima, and the Amazon region.

Are you ready to walk on the roof of the Andean world?
The Ausangate Trek is not just a hike.

It is a deep journey into the heart of the Andes, around the sacred Apu Ausangate (6,300 m / 20,669 ft).

Five days surrounded by towering glaciers, turquoise lagoons, high-mountain passes above 5,000 m and herds of alpacas and vicuñas roaming freely.

Hot springs under star-filled skies and landscapes that feel truly otherworldly.

Challenging. Powerful. Unforgettable.

Why travel to Peru during the rainy season? (December – March)

It may seem less appealing at first glance, but this season offers unique advantages that turn your trip into a different, authentic, and vibrant experience.

1️⃣ Nature at its finest
• The Andes, the Sacred Valley, and the Amazon look greener and more vibrant.
• Waterfalls, rivers, and lagoons grow in volume → more dramatic landscapes.
• Greater chance of spotting wildlife, orchids, and hummingbirds.
USP: Revitalized scenery you can only see during this season.

2️⃣ Fewer crowds
• Machu Picchu and other iconic sites with fewer visitors.
• A more intimate and authentic cultural connection.
• Better availability in tours, hotels, and restaurants.
USP: More exclusive access to Peru’s most famous destinations.

3️⃣ More affordable prices
• Discounts on flights, hotels, and tours in the low season.
• Better value for money.
USP: Premium experiences at reasonable prices.

4️⃣ Amazon & culture at their best
• The Amazon is more active and biodiverse.
• Carnival season and local festivities are full of tradition and folklore.
USP: A real connection with Amazonian life and customs.

5️⃣ Fresher weather on the coast
• Lima and coastal regions: pleasant temperatures and very little rain.
• Perfect mix of gastronomy, culture, and beach.
• Surfing for beginners and incredible marine life experiences.
USP: Enjoy Peru’s coastal and urban side — without extreme heat.

Yes, there are challenges… but they are manageable.
• Sudden showers in the Andes → waterproof gear & flexibility.
• Occasional road closures → travel with an open mind and be ready for the adventure.
• Protect backpacks and electronics from moisture.
➡️ With good planning, the reward is huge.

What is the rainy season like by region?

Andes (Cusco, Puno, Arequipa, Huaraz)
• Afternoon showers • Clear mornings
• Slippery roads • Cool days, cold nights

Amazon (Iquitos, Puerto Maldonado, Manu)
• Heavy but short rains • High humidity
• Warm weather • Higher, navigable rivers

Coast (Lima, Paracas, Máncora, Tumbes)
• Almost no rain • Sunny summer days
• Ideal for marine activities, swimming with turtles, and surfing

Key Takeaway

During the rainy season, Peru offers:
More vibrant nature
Lower prices
Cultural authenticity
Exclusive access to iconic sites

Don’t avoid the rain… embrace it and discover a different Peru!

The Inca Trail: More than a hike… It’s a journey that stays with you forever.

There are trips you enjoy…
and then some trips change you.

Travelers who hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu always say the same thing:
“I didn’t just arrive at Machu Picchu… I arrived at a stronger version of myself.”

Over four unforgettable days, surrounded by sacred mountains, ancient stone paths, and clouds floating at arm’s reach, every step tells a story.
This is not just trekking in Peru — it’s walking through the heart of the Inca Empire.

These are the moments no one ever forgets:
• Listening to your guide share ancient legends as the Andean silence wraps around you
• Laughing and sharing stories with the porters and cooks who make you feel part of a family
• Reaching the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) at sunrise and seeing Machu Picchu bathed in golden light
• Feeling exhaustion… and then watching it disappear in a single, breathtaking moment

A traveler described it perfectly:
“The final view is priceless. In that instant, every step becomes pride.”

Because the Inca Trail is not ordinary tourism.
It’s living history, raw nature, Inca culture, and personal achievement — all in one journey.

And once you set foot in Machu Picchu after hiking to it, you understand why everyone says, “The Inca Trail lives inside you forever.”

If Machu Picchu is on your bucket list, imagine experiencing it the way the Incas did — step by step.

2025 departures now open — small groups, expert guides, and the most authentic Inca Trail experience.

FAQ – Traveling to Peru, Cusco & Machu Picchu

Is it safe to travel to Peru now?
Yes. Main destinations like Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Arequipa, Puno & the Amazon are operating normally. Travel with certified local operators and follow current guidelines.

Best time to visit?
Peru is a year-round destination:
May–October: dry season, perfect for trekking & clear skies.
November–April: green season, lush landscapes & fewer crowds.

Do I need a visa?
Most nationalities don’t need a tourist visa for up to 90 days. A valid passport is required (always check immigration rules before flying).

What about altitude in Cusco & Machu Picchu?
Cusco sits at 3,400 m. Plan 1–3 nights in Cusco or the Sacred Valley to acclimatize. Hydrate, eat light, rest well and avoid alcohol on day one.

When should I book Machu Picchu & the Inca Trail?
As early as possible. Inca Trail permits and train tickets can sell out months in advance, especially in high season.

Do I need to be super fit for the Inca Trail?
Not an athlete – but you should enjoy hiking and have decent fitness. Acclimatization is more important than pure strength.

Is the Amazon safe?
Yes, when visiting with licensed lodges and professional guides. Expect nature, wildlife & limited Wi-Fi – that’s part of the magic.

Welcome to Perú.
