(altitude of ~13,500-14,000ft) ....a nice little pit stop en route to our first day. We had to stay in a specific area instead of moving forward on our hike (which is why we did 17.5 miles the next day, see previous post) because our mules to transport our stuff didn't show up. We hiked about 2 hours up to this , which was still more challenging than doing Koko Head like 3 times in a row in my opinion, but it was well worth it. I was lucky to not get altitude sickness this trip, as I got off the plane immediately to 11,000ft, then did this hike. I was supposed to have a mule for the entire first day too, but oh well. Thank you Jesus for keeping me healthy all week!
