📅Every June 24th, Cusco comes alive with the vibrant celebration of Inti Raymi, the ancient Incan festival dedicated to the Sun God, Apu Inti. On this special day, the city honors the sun and pleads for its return as it is when the sun is farthest from the earth. 🌎 🇵🇪 This incredible event survived the Spanish invasion and continues to captivate locals and visitors alike. 🗺️

🏞️ The festivities begin at Qorikancha with dances and songs, offering a tribute to the Sun God, and continue to the Plaza de Armas.
