PAUCAR MACHACO.Aunque es una serpiente, sus hábitos y colores (a veces comparados con el paucar) y su agilidad la vinculan a mitos.

Es una serpiente diurna de hábitos principalmente árboricolas 'aunque también suelen encontrase en el suelo,se alimenta de lagartijas,ranas,huevos de aves y aves aninando.su mordedura no es venenosa al ser humano.
Alcanzan 3 metros de longitud.

Otro mecanismo es el uso de la cripsis sobre la vegetación durante el día, ya que su coloración le permite camuflarse
