Walking along the forest trails on the way to the lodge, you begin to notice some of the incredible plants that grow naturally in the Amazon. One of them is the famous Dragon’s Blood tree, known locally as Sangre de Grado. When the bark is cut, a deep red resin flows out and has been used for generations in traditional Amazonian medicine to heal wounds and protect the skin.

Mientras caminamos por los senderos de la selva rumbo al albergue, empezamos a encontrar algunas de las increíbles plantas que crecen naturalmente en la Amazonía. Una de ellas es el famoso árbol de Sangre de Grado. Al hacer pequeños cortes en la corteza brota una resina roja intensa que las comunidades amazónicas han usado durante generaciones como medicina natural para curar heridas y proteger la piel.
