Marcahuasi tours

Marcahuasi tours Retreats and tours to Marcahuasi plateau Marcahuasi is a mysterious place high in the Peruvian Andean mountains (elevation of 12 500 feet above sea level).

The first mystery for me it is its´energy because it is so strong and ancient. The second mystery are the faces and forms sculpted of enormous rocks by some very ancient and strange hand, whether the ancestors of our planet or the ever-mysterious hand of the nature itself. The third mystery is when you get into deeper connection with the place. You start feeling as if you are feeding on the place

, as if you are a baby sucking on his mothers breast. You feel as if Marcahuasi is changing something within you while it is, at the same time, showing you herself-himself. You start getting messages from the Markawasi. Marcauhuasi starts speaking to you and it knows everything... Your inner transformation begins...

You can feel the energy and gets teachings of Markawasi even by just watching its photos. You can try out and devote some 20 minutes everyday to see those photos and see the result in 7 days. Tell me of your experiences with this and if you want, I can guide you to Marcahuasi and tell a lot about it. I give private and group tours-retreats to Marcahuasi. I provide you tents (if you don´t have), your basic survival (depending on your needs) things, and, of course, food and water. I am with you to show you the real place and give you personal spiritual guiding, if you want. I give 10 day retreat tours to Marcahuasi, I can give them to groups and private groups as well. Just write and ask me. [email protected]" rel="ugc" target="_blank">[email protected]

What is Marcahuasi?

Marcahuasi is a sacred mountain site in the Peruvian Andes. Standing high at the elevation of 14000 feet Marcahuasi is a very distinct to other plateaus. The energy there is very high. Mysterious things happen. People have spiritual transformations. Many claim UFO sightings or contacts with ETs.
The plateau is one mountain of rock and wandering around you see many sculptures and monuments, faces in the rock or made out of it. It is a literally a museum of monuments that were constructed by some ancient civilization, probably not human at all.
What is so special about Marcahuasi?
I would say that Marcahuasi has a spirit of its own. It has a different energy and that can be felt. I would say this energy is powerful, very very ancient and serene.
It is not easy to stay here for longer periods of time. Physically the environment is quite challenging- it is high altitude, it is merciless sun of the day and the cold of the night. There is no water to drink (apart from a little stream below Marca) and the climate is very dry. The first days of stay are hardest due to the adaptation to the altitude and it is normal to feel the pressure in the head and be unable to sleep in the night. Altitude sickness gets easier with every day because your body adapts. Your body starts adapting to the lack of the oxygen in the air and in the beginning you need to breathe more and take extra breaths but with days you get used to this too and you can move around much faster.
What you don´t really adapt to is the sun and the cold. If you stay for more than a few days on the plateau of Marcahuasi you get your skin and lips burnt and dry so it is good to have some protection on your skin.
These are the physical discomforts. You may have inner spiritual discomforts and transformations too. You may have feelings and sensations you have never had before, both good and bad. Your moods may be changing more than normal. It is normal to have bursts of crying or laughing as your inner self is getting cleared out of the spiritual blockages. Well this is the healing that Marcahuasi gives. It makes us get closer to our true selves and skyrockets spiritual growth.
Dreams in Marcahuasi are different too. More powerful. I definitely feel that Marcahuasi is teaching and affecting us through the dreams.
Marcahuasi speaks to you. You start seeing faces and figures all around carved or made out of solid rock. Many times these figures or faces are incredibly big. If you are very active visually (like if you are a visual artist) you will see these forms and faces more than if you are not.
What is more interesting about that is the energy these monuments and statues transmit. If you are more sensitive you will be able to feel it. It is as if every monument has a different spirit or vibration that really feels different and affects you in a different way. Each monument teaches you and affects you subliminally and beyond mental understanding it speaks to you.
If you spend more time in Marcahuasi you will start seeing replicas of the same figures and monuments but in different places. That is another very interesting thing. You can see the same face in a completely different place in Marcahuasi, far away . You will recognize it visually and from the same energy it transmits. What is very interesting too is that this same monument you will see from another place of evolution, if that does make sense. It feels like these monuments are evolving and in one replica of the monument you can see aspects of it that you were not aware before earlier.
What do these sculptures and monuments teach? The first words that come to my mind to answer this would be ¨the history of the universe¨ and then ¨evolution of consciousness¨. Indeed, when you walk around Marcahuasi you feel as if in the gigantic museum, a museum of the earth, cosmos and ourselves.
I have spent a lot of time on the plateau. By now I should have known what these monuments show and teach. However, I don´t. What I can say though is that they teach on the subliminal level and with the mind you will not be able to understand it. It feels too that knowing them and learning from them makes you understand yourself and your history, your evolution better.
I know that now as you read these words they do not make so much sense to you. You have to experience Marcahuasi to know what I am saying.
There are people who say that there are no real sculptures in Marcahuasi and it is just an imagination of the mind. However, these are the people who either hadn´t ever stepped onto the plateau or who had stayed for a very little.
It is clear that many of those monuments were made by moving enormous rocks and placing them to make the sculpture. However, the size and weight of many of those rocks is just ridiculous. They are just so big! Human hand alone could not have placed those rocks in those inaccessible locations. Some sophisticated type of machinery or another type of technology or knowledge was necessary to make that.
And then, why? Why would you bother doing this incredibly difficult labour? That is a question I cannot answer.
It is also clear that these monuments were ¨constructed¨ a loooong time ago. As we know, stone grows too but very slow. The changes-deformations in the rocks of the monuments show that they were constructed probably tens or hundreds of thousands of years ago. This is my calculation.
So the place is very ancient. You can feel it in the air, you can feel it in the energy. It is ancient and serene.
Another thing that it is hard to explain are the numerous ruins around the plateau of Marcahuasi. Evidently these ruins date much less than the sculptures themselves. I would calculate them to be 500 to 2000 years old but again I am not an expert in this. Villagers from San Pedro de Casta (village close to the plateau) say these ruins are preincan and date to the time of Christ (2000 years ago).

What type of ruins do you find on Marcahuasi plateau?
Well, there are 2 poblation centers like towns designed for people to live there and store food and things as well. They could have also been a site for astronomical observations.
Another interesting place is the fortress in the furthest and most inaccessible part of Marcahuasi. It is clearly a military fortress. But why? Why would you construct a fortress so far away from everything, so high in the mountains? I think this was to protect the elite class, definitely not the ordinary people.
Another thing worth mentioning are the tombs. There are numerous tombs around the plateau and you could find bones and skulls inside. Most of them are already empty because villagers or tourists would take those bones or whatever they would find. However, I know some more inaccessible and harder to reach places around Marcahuasi where you still find well preserved tombs with human bones inside but it is not easy to get there.
I have also found human bones resting in different places but not in tombs, covered with the earth. If you start digging you would find entire human skeletons. My explanation would be that people of the higher class (elite, priests, leaders) would have tombs constructed for them and lower class would be buried in a simpler way.
Old villagers say that when they were young many things would be found in the ruins of Marcahuasi, including artesany and even gold. However, their parents and ancestors respected the place very much and nothing was permited to take from the ruins. People thought if they did so they would die.
Another thing that this last civilization constructed (besides the small town and fortress that now are ruins) is the sophisticated irrigation system. All around the plateau you will see canals made for water to run. I think that these people had to guard the water well during the rainy season because during the Andean winter it is dry and never rains. That is also why they have constructed damps (place where the water stays and doesn´t go down the mountain).

How would they use the water, these people? Would they grow something edible on the plateau? According to some older villagers times ago their ancestors would plant some different edible roots or potatoes that are no longer found anywhere and these roots would grow in this altitude and climate. Maybe this was a part of food of those people who had lived on the plateau.
There are some lakes around the plateau. There are stories around them too. Villagers say they would see beings coming out of the lake or entering it at night. Supposedly, the lakes are doors or portals to the subterranean world or to the other dimension. Those lakes are pretty beautiful and impressive and birds like to swim in them.

Indeed, villagers are not willing to speak much about Marcahuasi. They have lived at the foot of the mountain for their whole lives and they respect the place. Not only respect, it seems as if they were afraid of it. Few would be willing to spend the night on the plateau alone. There are many stories involved and those include sightings of the UFOs, meetings with the extraterrestrials and other mysterious events. Supposedly, many people who went to Marcahuasi had never come back. Some think they have fallen from the high cliffs and died and some think they got abducted or entered another dimension or civilization.
Marcahuasi is considered a portal to other dimensions. It is widely believed that there lives a civilization of enlightened humans or higher class of beings beneath Marcahuasi and some can access it through different ways.

I am organizing 4-10 day retreats to Marcahuasi 2016 March-September. I provide transportation, food, stay (we are going to stay in the tents in Marcahuasi).Mission:

Many people can prepare Ayahuasca. But how good you do it depends on you.
You can do it just to complete the work and have Aya. Or you can do it as a meditation.
Sending love, being mindful, all the time respectful can be harder here than one imagines. I do it, always. I chant to the spirits of the plant when I prepare it too.
Physical part of the work is pretty hard too if you want to do it like me-us do it at the Abuelo.
First, I had to prepare a lot of wood to burn it for the fire. I had to bring woods from all over the place. Took me half a day. Swetting a lot...
Then on the second day I had to pound the vine pretty well to help it enter the water when boiling. Pounding about 40 kilograms of Ayahuasca and then opening them up into small threads took me one day and one night.
I had slept only 2-3 hours that night because the next (third) day I started to boil it. I was pretty tired but I had to bring 6 buckets of 20 liters of water from the river and then to boil these 120 or so liters for almost 20 hours. As you see, the third night I hadn't slept for a second. And still, physically very tired I would concentrate on sending my love to the Ayahuasca.
While boiling the ayahuasca it is a matter of respect (and more than that) that you cannot leave it alone. You have to be present at the fire for more than one day. You are not supposed to eat close, to talk about meaningless things close to the fire while Aya is cooking.
The fourth day I slept a few hours and then it took me a few hours to strain the cooked 1-2 liters of Ayahuasca. Then put it into the bottle.

Then? Go to sleep for many hours! LOL

It took around 16 hours to cook Ayahuasca. I had to boil around 120 liters of water down to 1 liter of Ayahuasca. Ingredients: Ayahuasca vine, Yaje leaves, t...

Hello my dear friends and sorry for taking time to update my Marcahusi channel.

Recently on the first week of March I have done a 5 day solitary (almost) retreat to Marchuasi. I was aware that on this time of the year few people go (or recomend to go) to the sacred plateau because it’s the rainy season here. For most part of the day Marcahuasi plateau is in the cloud and it rains a lot.

But, since I had only 6 day vacation and after 1.5 year of working (teaching yoga) in Lima (Peru) I had to take and I took this oportunity and went to my mountain without thinking the second time.

Getting back to high altitude wasn’t as easy as I thought this time. The day I arrived to Marcahuasi I felt some pressure in my head and the first night it was dificult to sleep but on the second day I was much better and I adapted myself to the altitude again quickly.

This time I stayed close to the Monument to Humanity, my favourite place in Marcahuasi. It was my luck and also honor to pass the first few days with another person, a person special for the history of Marcahuasi. I got to know Gonzalo the grandson of Daniel Ruzo – the “discoverer” of Marcahuasi about 70 years ago. Dr Daniel Ruzo wrote the first book about Marcahuasi that got it its’ name. It was my pleasure to get to know Gonzalo who proved to be a very interesting, spiritual and good person.

This time I did not walk a lot around the plateau watching the formations. Instead, I devoted my time to my meditation and I did a lot of yoga as well. In fact, I spent quite some time in my good big tent Mountain 25 doing yoga when it was raining because it rained quite a lot. It surprised me to find my body much more flexible on the mountain because, in fact, I expected quite the opposite. In cold weather body becomes less flexible, that is always so. So it was something strange and interesting to see my body so flexible in the colds of Marcahuasi.

I got blessed by Marcahuasi again. This time it were the sunsets. The most beautiful sunsets in my life again. As in the first time when I came to Marcahuasi a few years ago so it was now that sunsets would bring tears to my eyes. The view, the panorama was just... breathtaking, making me smile, making me cry, making me shout and sing. The sun was red, above the clouds. Bellow it were just clouds and clouds covering the sea (Pacific Ocean in the distance). The sun so shining, so strong, so colorful, so full of... love and life. It felt as seeing the face of God, it felt again as if the Lord or Creator would look himself to you with all the love and understanding. Surely, a spiritual enlightening experience where you remember and reconect with your true nature and its’ glory. At least, so it was for me. A very loving and deep experience that reminded me love as the essence of life.

It was also special because at the time of sunset (around 7PM) it would be all clouded. Marcahuasi is in mist, in clouds, in rain. But then, just in the meantime of a few minutes the clouds would dissapear just in the direction of the sunset. As if the enormous curtain of clouds would go to right and left and the movie would begin. The most beautiful movie of the most beautiful sun, for sure.

We would laugh with my new friend Gonzalo that it’s Universe throwing us some boons, giving us this gift of the sunset. It would be crazy how these clouds would disperse and give us half to one hour of this sunset and then again, when the sun would dissapear beyond the horizon the curtain of clouds would set back in quickly as if saying “the show is over. Go to sleep”.

We would drink some hot tea (or water) that I would boil on my stove. This would warm our cold bodies again and it would be the time to go to sleep. In the sleeping bag, where we would maintain the heat of our body while it rests for some hours. It would start raining again but this time I would be sleeping again...

And then getting back and back up in the night. In altitude it’s harder to sleep and you get yourself waking up in the nigh more than a few times. At around the midnight usually the skies would start getting clear again. No clouds. Time to get out of the tent and see the moon and the stars.

It’s another “not coincidence” that the days when I went to Marcahuasi it was the full moon. Full moon is special, always. More energy in the air. More mysterious. More intense. On mountain it means, usually a clear sky in the night and cold. Yes, cold.

Even though it was cold in the night I would get out of my tent to see the full moon. It’s special. It reminds me of our celestial brothers – the moon and the stars. It reminds me of the infinity of our universe and the beauty of it. It reminds me us the Children of the Mother Earth and our Father Sun.

I spent around 5 days in Marcahuasi. The hard weather has taken it’s toll again this time and I had my face burnt and my lips hard and breaking by the end the retreat. I forgot to take my coconut oil that I put on my skin to protect it. Well, next time I won’t forget it!

I had some good time there meditating. I came back from Marcahuasi feeling different. More centered within myself, more silent, more content. I had new understandings and realizations that are important to me. I felt blessed by the sacred mountain again.
