The Amazon to Venice.

Sara Flores’s work is at the Biennale this year. For those who understand the tradition it comes from, the Shipibo-Konibo knowledge systems, the visual language passed through generations, the deep roots of this practice in the Amazonian jungle, this moment means something far beyond the art world.

It has been a long road to recognition. And it is one we have had the privilege of following from its source.

These videos take you to Bakish Mai, located in the community of San Francisco, in Ucayali, in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. It was here that Marisol witnessed this work in its own setting, surrounded by the community and tradition it comes from.

Bakish Mai is a non-profit foundation whose mission is to promote and preserve the creative ways of life, working across three interconnected areas: art, plants and territory.

To see that vision recognized on a stage like Venice is something else entirely.

Machu Picchu is bucket list. There’s no denying it. But the way you arrive matters just as much.

The journey through the Sacred Valley, the shifting light, the build of anticipation along the way.

We make sure getting to Machu Picchu is just as memorable as standing within it.

Peru’s food tells its own story.
In the markets, early in the morning.

In the ingredients, shaped by coast, Andes, and Amazon.

In the kitchens, where instinct leads more than recipe.

And in the people behind it, carrying these traditions forward.

This is how a country reveals itself.

Postcards from Iguazú Falls // Juanjo’s just back from Brazil, having spent time at the falls.

Nothing quite prepares you for the scale. The sound, the force, the constant movement of water from every direction.

Across Peru, a small number of boutique properties can be taken over in full.

Creating space to come together at the right moment, whether in the Sacred Valley, deep in the Andes, or along the northern coast.

A different way to move through a place, shaped around who you travel with and the time you spend together within it.

“Everything is connected. Everything is one. This living reciprocity is the essence of Andean philosophy.”

Released for 2026, our short film Sacred Landscapes reflects the deep relationship between people and place across the Andes, and what it means to live in balance with the natural world.

The People of Aracari // Luis Martín Alzamora

Born and raised in Lima, Luis Martín has built his career around understanding Peru through its cuisine.

A respected culinary writer, his work reflects a deep knowledge of the chefs, producers, and ingredients that define the country’s gastronomic identity.

For our guests, brings Lima’s food scene into focus. He introduces travelers to both the celebrated names and the lesser-known kitchens that locals return to time and again, offering context that goes beyond the menu.

It is a privilege to have him as part of Aracari.
