Today, I'm thankful to be in Chiang Mai for the Loi Krathong lantern festival. To be a part of a celebration that consumes an entire city and unites attendees from around the world in a beautiful display of light... it's something I didn't realize my heart needed to combat the darkness created by recent global tragedies.

A good articulation of the feelings I've been having over the past few months. How lucky we are to be experiencing the things we do, to see the things we see... but how isolating it can feel in the moments in between.

We've gone back and forth on whether to go suitcase or backpack for our trip around the world. We're currently rocking the suitcases, but I change my mind daily about whether that's the right choice... at least this post makes me feel good about our decision for now :)

In the great debate of suitcase vs backpack, it really comes down to what you're comfortable with when you travel.
