O Misterioso e Maravilha de Waqrapukara
Mais uma vez a região de nos surpreende com uma nova maravilha em seu território, as maravilhas que essa região possui são incalculáveis, pois foi o berço do vasto
e majestoso Inca, o que resta é deliciar nossa vista, surpreender-nos com a grande engenhosidade arquitetônica dos incas e, claro, cuidar dessas maravilhas,
o grande legado deixado por esses homens fascinantes, agora é hora de admirar a maravilha misteriosa de Waqrapucara.
O nome Waqrapukara deriva das vozes quíchuas: Waqra, que significa "chifre" e , que significa "Fortaleza", podemos deduzir que Waqrapukara significa "Fortaleza dos chifres",
mas há uma observação dessa interpretação pelos moradores locais. que indicam que a fortaleza não tem uma imagen de chifres, mas que são "as orelhas de uma ", aduzindo que está sempre alerta ao que
acontece ao seu redor; portanto, chamam de " "
As curvas nos terraços de pedra esculpida parecem conter o Waqra, que se assemelha a uma coroa de pico duplo. No meio, há uma caverna natural com intervenção inca e uma pequena
janela com vista para o abismo, que também permite uma vista magnífica do céu noturno, repleto de constelações, planetas e estrelas de enorme valor na visão de mundo inca.
É no topo de um enorme desfiladeiro coberto de floresta que coroa os abismos que dão para o desfiladeiro do rio , o monumento arqueológico é cercado por impressionantes plataformas,
praças e uma floresta de pedras que se assemelham a tronos, com gigantes contemplando a paisagem montanhosa.

Part of the 23,000 kilometers (approximately 14,000 miles) of roads built by the Incas (Qhapaq Ñan) in , this is 's most famous route and possibly one of the most spectacular in the . Every year; some 25,000 hikers from around the world walk along the extraordinary 43 kilometers of this stone-paved road built by the Incas leading to the unassailable citadel of located in the depth of the Cuzco jungle.
The journey starts in the village of , at kilometer 88 of the - Quillabamba railway and takes three or four days of strenuous walking.

The route includes an impressive variety of altitudes, climates and ecosystems that range from the high plain to the cloud forest.

You will walk through sweeping, magical landscapes of a snowy mountain paradise to a tropical jungle where you will find a wide range of animals and medicinal plants and flower varieties. Witness with your own eyes a living, but ancient, culture in remote villages hardly ever seen by foreigners!
The Cordillera is an impressive mountain range extending over 260 km,. The snow-capped mountain Salkantay rises to 6271 MASL– 20574 FASL in height. It is an outstanding snowy peak, located less than fifty miles northwest of the city of in south-central . Because of its proximity to the city, it is easily accessible by car and it has been climbed by professional mountaineers since 1952.
In order to complete the Trek, you need to have a reasonable level of fitness, but age shouldn't be a barrier. The most important thing is to be well-acclimatized to the altitude. The highest you will trek the entire time is (4, 650 MASL – 15092 FASL). Two days of acclimatization before the trek is ideal for visiting the city of , its nearby Inca ruins, and the of the Incas.

Esta ruta es ideal para los amantes de la naturaleza que no disponen de muchos días pero que encontraran espectaculares paisajes, con flora exótica y fauna a lo largo de esta caminata de aventura por hermosos valles y blancas montañas especialmente la considerado como una de las montañas y lagunas más sagrados de la región.

ITINERARIO

Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa - Laguna Humantay:

Pasaremos por su respectivo hotel a recogerlos entre 04h:45 a 05h:30 am para luego viajar en nuestro transporte privado al pueblo de Mollepata localizado en el exuberante valle del río Apurímac. Después de un merecido desayuno para llenarnos de energía, continuaremos nuestro viaje hacia (3,850 msnm) después de un breve descanso, comenzaremos nuestra caminata hacia lake ubicado a 4.200mt (13,779 pies), después del ascenso de 1 hora y 30 min aproximadamente podremos apreciar tan maravilloso lugar aquí tendremos tiempo para fotografiar, meditar y explorar el lugar, luego iremos retornar a nuestro campamento para tener nuestro delicioso almuerzo con hermosas vistas panorámicas de los picos nevados de y Humantay, posteriormente iremos retornar a nuestra ciudad de , los dejaremos en el centro de la ciudad (cerca de la Plaza de Armas principal).
Precio: S/120 soles por persona es der salidas diarias.

(altitude of ~13,500-14,000ft) ....a nice little pit stop en route to our first day. We had to stay in a specific area instead of moving forward on our hike (which is why we did 17.5 miles the next day, see previous post) because our mules to transport our stuff didn't show up. We hiked about 2 hours up to this , which was still more challenging than doing Koko Head like 3 times in a row in my opinion, but it was well worth it. I was lucky to not get altitude sickness this trip, as I got off the plane immediately to 11,000ft, then did this hike. I was supposed to have a mule for the entire first day too, but oh well. Thank you Jesus for keeping me healthy all week!
