Chucuito "ciudad de las cajas reales", tourist destination 18 km south of Puno and 30 min. Approx. The beautiful main square with the Church of the Assumption (1601) and the Church of Santo Domingo (XVI century) are visited in this district. It is one of the oldest villages and had great resonance during the colony. In the outskirts you will appreciate the Inca Huyo sanctuary, lateral entrance of the church of La Asunción de Chucuito, the lateral roof, composed of columns and arches.
