Booking a flight isn’t always as simple as choosing the best schedule or the lowest price.

• Layover time: Is there enough time to clear customs, change terminals and reach the next gate without sprinting?

• Connecting airports: We definitely have our favorites, and a few we avoid whenever possible.

• Flight times: A 6:00 a.m. departure may look great until you realize it means leaving the hotel at 3:00 a.m.

• Aircraft and seat configuration:
Not all business class seats, or even flights on the same airline, are created equal.

• Backup options: If a flight is delayed or canceled, how easily can we get you moving again?
