There cannot be many places in the world where just 28 minutes in the air provides you with such a drastic change in ecosystems. Taking off from Cusco airport at 3310 meters, crossing the 6000-meter peaks of the Andes in 5 minutes or so, virtually no cruise phase and then descending to land at 180 meters above sea level in the Amazon. An absolutely fantastic trip with a great group, so note to self: I must do this more often!

The Salta to Mendoza road trip in Northern Argentina is usually requested by clients coming to us via our wine tourism website. The trip is a spectacular 5-night journey down the back roads, through lovely scenery, visiting some interesting historic and cultural sites and, of course, plenty of wineries. Cheryl and Daniel from New York sipped their way along the route last week and then spent some extra time in Mendoza. Why wouldn't you!

A few photos of visitors from England, Debbie and Andrew enjoying some highlights of Peru. They were lucky to see the national bird in the cloud forest. They also enjoyed cacao harvesting and subsequent chocolate making, their trip had some unusual visits that we can include along with the must-do sites. The train from Puno to Cusco is also extra special.
