Did you know Lima’s Historic Centre is one of South America’s greatest colonial treasures?
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988, it was the most important city in South America during the Spanish colonial era—and its architecture tells the story.

Step into a living museum of baroque balconies, grand cathedrals, colonial mansions, and cobblestone streets that echo with nearly 500 years of history. Walking through its historic heart feels like traveling back in time.

Our historic Lima City Tour is a must for architecture lovers! Led by passionate local Limeños, it brings the city’s architecture to life as we explore Lima’s iconic wood-carved balconies, the stunning Cathedral of Lima (blending baroque, Renaissance, and neoclassical styles), the unforgettable San Francisco Monastery (with its yellow façade and mysterious catacombs), and many hidden corners you’d miss without a local guide!

Today, June 24th, Cusco comes alive with the magic of Inti Raymi — the Inca Celebration of the Sun! 🌞
Inti Raymi honors Inti, the Sun God and supreme deity of the Inca Empire, during the winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere — marking the rebirth of the sun and the beginning of a new agricultural cycle.
More than 800 performers — including dancers, musicians, and actors — bring ancient Inca traditions to life in a spectacular open-air reenactment held across three symbolic stages:
- Qoricancha: The ceremony begins at the Temple of the Sun, where Inca priests greet the first rays of the sun and welcome a new solar cycle.
- Cusco's Main Square: Here, scenes of everyday Incan life are portrayed through traditional dance and vibrant costumes.
- Sacsayhuaman Fortress: The grand finale takes place on this majestic hilltop, with ceremonial offerings of gratitude for the land’s fertility and the coming harvest.
The entire performance is conducted in Quechua, the language of the Incas. Real-time translation is available for attendees, many of whom purchase their tickets months in advance to experience this unforgettable event. 🌄

⛰️Discover Wiñay Wayna -

Tucked into the misty mountains just before Machu Picchu is Wiñay Wayna, a breathtaking archaeological site that captures the spirit of the Andes. The name Wiñay Wayna means "Forever Young" in Quechua.
While its exact purpose is unclear, Wiñay Wayna likely served as an agricultural and religious site for Inca nobility or pilgrims traveling to Machu Picchu.
It's usually visited on the final day of the classic Inca Trail trek, before reaching the Sun Gate at Machu Picchu. Visitors can marvel at ancient stone terraces and sacred fountains clinging to the mountainside and walk among orchids and cloud forest flora.
This stunning site is a highlight of our classic Inca Trail trek and offers a moment of peace before the final stretch to Machu Picchu.

KUELAP: The Legacy of the Cloud Warriors

High above the Utcubamba Valley in northern Peru, hidden in the dense cloud forest, rises Kuelap - a massive stone citadel built by the Chachapoyas, an ancient Andean civilization known as the 'Warriors of the Clouds'.

Long before the Incas rose to power, the Chachapoyas forged a unique and resilient culture in the rugged Andes. Flourishing between the 9th and 15th centuries, they were master builders, fierce warriors, and skilled farmers who adapted brilliantly to the high jungle terrain.

Kuelap, their most iconic fortress, sits at 3,000 meters above sea level. Surrounded by 20-meter-high walls, it once housed over 400 circular stone structures, ceremonial plazas, and observation towers - a true mountain fortress and spiritual center.

Unlike the imperial cities of the Incas, Kuelap was a world unto itself: isolated, mysterious, and shrouded in cloud. Even the Spanish chroniclers were in awe of the courage of the Chachapoyas and the beauty of their land.

Today, walking through Kuelap is like stepping into a lost chapter of history. The moss-covered stones, enigmatic carvings, and swirling fog tell of a civilization whose legacy still hangs in the clouds.

We believe in the power of responsible tourism to have a positive impact on our planet and its cultural heritage. One of our main goals is to help to promote and inspire our passengers and partners to appreciate not only the beauty, but the significance of the Qhapaq Ñan - the ancient Andean road system that stretches across South America.

The Qhapaq Ñan is not only a stunning travel destination, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site of immense cultural, historical and ecological value. By promoting its routes, we are not only helping to preserve this unique treasure, but also creating sustainable opportunities for local communities.

By raising awareness of its importance and heritage, we help to protect ancient traditions, stories and craftsmanship; and by working closely with local communities, we ensure that tourism benefits everyone, helping to preserve local heritage while promoting environmentally friendly practices.

Join us in exploring and protecting one of the most important cultural and environmental legacies of the Andes.

Together we can keep the Qhapaq Ñan alive for future generations. 🌍✨
