✨ A new chapter is about to begin in the Austral Islands.
From 2027, Aranui Cruises will welcome Aranoa, its new mixed passenger and cargo vessel, created to sail one of the most remote and fascinating archipelagos of The Islands of Tahiti.
Following the spirit of the legendary Aranui experience, Aranoa will carry both travelers and freight, creating a meaningful connection with the islands and communities along the way.
Its 13-day itineraries will venture south from Tahiti toward the Australs, revealing an entirely different side of Polynesia: the turquoise lagoons of Tubuai and Raivavae, the endemic birdlife of Rimatara, remarkable craftsmanship, fertile lands and communities where traditions remain very much part of everyday life. Selected 2027 departures will travel even farther south to Rapa, with its dramatic mountains and fjord-like coastline.
With a maximum of just 198 passengers, Aranoa promises an intimate way to experience these distant islands while continuing a model that has connected remote Polynesian communities for decades.
For travelers who already know Bora Bora and Moorea, or simply want to experience a quieter and deeply rooted side of our islands, the Australs deserve a place on the map for 2027.
