PNG Air Marks 38 Years of Flying Papua New Guineans Home

PNG Air proudly celebrates its 38th anniversary this month, honoring nearly four decades of connecting the people and places of Papua New Guinea. This year’s anniversary holds extra meaning as it coincides with Papua New Guinea’s 50th anniversary of independence — a national milestone that underscores the importance of belonging, perseverance, and ambition.

Today, PNG Air serves 23 destinations across the country with a mixed fleet of Dash 8-100s and ATR 72-600s, carrying close to 500,000 passengers annually prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and supported by nearly 600 employees across the nation. In addition to scheduled passenger flights, PNG Air plays a critical role in providing economic support through its Charter and Cargo services, helping local industries, businesses, and communities thrive.

Looking ahead, PNG Air is positioning itself for a new phase of growth, including the transition to an all-ATR fleet to strengthen operational efficiency and enhance service on domestic routes while exploring new regional opportunities.

With only 10 slots available, please register early so you do not miss out!!!

Course Format:

•This is a classroom interface training for three (3) days of instruction delivered by a highly experience, qualified and approved Instructor – more than 20 years in the Training Industry.
•There are 12 Units to cover. Key topics: Introduction to Train the Trainer, What we should know about Learning, What we should know about Training, Information Processing, Training Techniques and Strategies, Lesson Planning, Lesson Delivery, Communication, Assessing Trainees, Types of Questions and Answers, Psychology, Motivation, Technique in De-briefing Trainees.
•The course will take you approximately twenty four (24) hours in total to complete the course. There is a one hour lunch break for each day.
•Student performance will be based on an assessment.

Pre-requisites:

•Participants are recommended to have a good English level of communication and writing [Preference: a Grade 12 Pass, Grade - B in the English subject].
•These training sessions will require your participation in group discussions, questions and answers (Q&A) during the sessions and the review questions at the end of each units.

An unfortunate event occurred which led to a fatality involving an alleged hit and run at 4 mile.

Some social media discussions have inaccurately suggested that she is a Cabin Crew with PNG Air.

The accused is NOT an employee of PNG Air.
