MDRRMO PERSONNEL ATTEND PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVENTION DISCUSSION

ALABEL, Sarangani Province (February 21, 2025) — To promote mental health awareness and equip personnel with effective stress management strategies, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) personnel participated in a Psychological Intervention Discussion on February 21, 2025.

The session, led by Ma'am Edith Mahilum from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of Sarangani, focused on the proper handling of stress in the workplace and environment.

Ma'am Mahilum emphasized the importance of recognizing early signs of stress, practicing self-care routines, and fostering a supportive work atmosphere to maintain emotional well-being — vital for frontline responders like the MDRRMO team, who often face high-pressure situations.

The activity is part of the ongoing efforts of the MDRRMO to ensure their personnel remain not only physically but also mentally prepared to respond to emergencies and disasters. (ALABEL INFORMATION OFFICE)

SERBISYONG SMILE SA BARANGAY (SSB) SA PUROK 9, BRGY. DOMOLOK, NAGMALAMPUSON

ALABEL, Sarangani Province (Pebrero 21, 2025) – Nahimo gayud nga malampuson ang pagpahigayon sa Serbisyong SMILE sa Barangay (SSB) sa Purok 9, Barangay Domolok, Alabel, Sarangani Province, Biyernes sa buntag, ika- 21 sa Pebrero 2025.

Ang maong aktibidad, gipangunahan ni Municipal Mayor Vic Paul M. Salarda, MPA.

Nagkalain-laing mga serbisyo gikan sa Lokal nga Panggamhanan sa Alabel ug mga ka-partner nga national government agency ang gidala ug nakatagamtaman sa mga lumolupyo sa maong purok nga nagsaulog usab sa ilahan ika- 22nd Foundation Anniversary.

Aduna’y mga serbisyo gikan sa Alabel Municipal Health Office sama sa health consultation kauban ang mga doktor ug mga health worker, libre nga tuli, ug uban pang mga serbisyo sa nutrisyon ug maayong panglawas. Samtang ang Alabel Municipal Mayor’s Office nagpahigayon og libreng gupit sa buhok ug nanghatag og libre nga mga tambal.

Ang MENRO, MSWDO, Municipal Treasurer’s Office, MDRRMO, Municipal Civil Registration Office, Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMAg), ug uban pang mga buhatan sa munisipyo, nakigduyog usab og naghatag sa ilahang mga nagkadaiyang mga serbisyo alang ug angayan gayud nga masinatian sa katawhan.

Anaa usab ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), ug ALPHA Company 73rd Infantry Battalion, 10ID sa Philippine Army.

Napulo (10) ka mga kaslonon ang nagbaylohanay sa ilahang mga panaad sa usa ka civil wedding ceremony nga gipangunahan ni Mayor Salarda isip solemnizing office. Naghatag ang alkalde og mga pahinumdum alang mga kaslonon nga naka- sentro sa gugma, pagpasaylo, ug pagsalig sa kanunay sa labawng makagagahum.

Gihatagan usab sa alkalde og dakong kabug-aton ang pag-amping sa kaugalingon batuk sa mga bisyo nga makadaot lamang sa lawas, ug ang paggiya sa mga kabata-anon nga mu-eskwela ug mangandoy alang sa ilahang kaugmaon.

Ang Purok 9, Barangay Domolok, gipangulohan ni Edwin Ulad, mapasalamaton sa kanunay sa Lokal nga Gobyerno sa Alabel nga gipangunahan ni Mayor Salarda tungod sa paghatag kanila og higayon nga makasinati sa mga serbisyo sa munisipyo haduol sa ilahang mga tugkaran. Nalipay gayud siya nga daghan nga mga serbisyo sa gobyerno ang gidala sa Serbisyong SMILE sa Barangay.

Jabilles Jr. nga anak ni Municipal Councilor Danny Jabilles, MMPA, mga personahe sa Barangay Affairs Unit, Bagani (Kamlung Banwe), Civil Security Unit (CSU), ug mga trabahante ug volunteer gikan sa Barangay Domolok.

Ang Serbisyong SMILE sa Barangay (SSB), nahimo nga posible tungod sa kooperasyon sa tanan sa pagpanguna sa mga personahe sa Lokal nga Gobyerno sa Alabel nga gi-siguro nga hapsay ug aduna’y organisasyon ang tanan nga serbisyo ug ang mismo nga mga programa.

In line with the 22nd Foundation Anniversary of Purok 9, Barangay Domolok, and the Serbisyong SMILE sa Barangay (SSB), the Barangay Affairs Unit of the Municipal Mayor’s Office conducted a monitoring and inventory of backyard gardens on February 21, 2025.

Mayor Vic Paul M. Salarda, MPA, commended ten families for maintaining productive backyard gardens filled with vegetables and root crops, emphasizing that this initiative aligns with the Salarda administration’s commitment to combating malnutrition and providing families with an additional source of food and income. This effort is part of the 5K Masaganang Alabel Program, a flagship convergence program of the local government, supported by the Sangguniang Bayan.

Twenty farmers from Barangays Baluntay, Maribulan, and Pag-asa received free-range chickens from the Department of Agriculture - Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DA-DRRM) at the Municipal Grounds in Poblacion, Alabel on February 19, 2025.

Each farmer, registered under the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA), received five chickens (one male, four females) as livelihood aid following the December 26, 2024 floods.

Municipal Administrator Abner Labaniego, MPA, represented Mayor Vic Paul M. Salarda, MPA, during the event and expressed gratitude to the Department of Agriculture for its support to local farmers.

The Local Government Unit of Alabel congratulates the graduates of Madrasah Dambong Al-Islamie, Madrasah Muntos Al-Islamie, Madrasah Lamlabong, Madrasah Datu Malon Madaris (Feb 16, 2025), and Markadz Palao Al-Islamie (Feb 15, 2025).

Representing Mayor Vic Paul M. Salarda, Municipal Councilor Paul S. Villamora lauded the graduates, parents, and educators for their dedication to learning and community engagement. Madaris Coordinator Asir Dambong expressed gratitude to the LGU and encouraged students to continue their Islamic education as a guide to good citizenship.

The Local Government Unit of Alabel, through the leadership of Mayor Vic Paul M. Salarda, reaffirms its unwavering commitment to protecting and promoting the rights of children, particularly in eliminating all forms of child labor. During the Information and Service Caravan on Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program held on February 20, 2025, at the Municipal Civic Gymnasium, Municipal Administrator Abner Labaniego, MPA, representing the Mayor, expressed gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment – Sarangani Field Office (DOLE-SarFO) and the Provincial Government of Sarangani for their continued partnership in ensuring child welfare and protection.

The activity, spearheaded by DOLE-SarFO Supervising Labor and Employment Officer and OIC Head Marnie Dave S. Eballes, highlighted the importance of RA 9231 and ILO Convention No. 190 in addressing child labor and workplace violence. A Pledge of Commitment was signed, reinforcing the collective effort to end child labor, followed by the Project Angel Tree, which provided assistance and gifts to child laborers and at-risk children.

The caravan also offered essential services such as medical assistance, skills training registration, social protection programs, pampering services (haircut and nail care), and an information exhibit. Participating agencies included the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Health Office, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Alabel, Philippine National Police – WCPD, and TESDA.
