π£ Celebrating a Cultural Milestone! π΅πβ¨
As the tourism officer of LGU Alburquerque, I am deeply honored and filled with gratitude as the centuries-old tradition of Asin Tibuok has been officially inscribed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding during the 20th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in New Delhi, India.
This global recognition not only highlights the remarkable craftsmanship of our mang-asinay and potters, it also marks a historic moment as the first Philippine traditional food process ever included on a UNESCO intangible heritage list. To the Mang-Asinay and Potters community of Alburquerque , Thank you very very much for your cooperation and hard work for this craftsmanship.π₯Ίπ
We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to UNESCO, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, (NCCA) the National Museum of the Philippines- Bohol, (NMP-Bohol) our provincial partners, Center for Culture & Arts Development (CCAD), to Ms. Janel Elorde and everyone who supported this journey. This achievement strengthens our commitment to safeguarding our living heritage, promoting cultural pride, and inspiring future generations to carry forward this unique tradition of Asin Tibuok. π΅πβ€οΈ
