Jasil does some shopping at Liuhe Night Market!🌃 There is a station under the roads near the night market that has one of the most must see art installations in Southern-Eastern Taiwan. The colorful ceiling of this station depicts the start of the universe according to Daoism with the two pillars in the middle symbolizing yin and yang.☯ In Liuhe Night Market, there are stalls selling Taiwanese snacks with big discounts, desserts, fruits, street foods, and boba milk tea among other things.🛍 If you are into makeup or beauty products and fashion, they also sell international and Asian brands in stores.💅

Jasil stays near the Pier 2 Art Center & Great Harbor Bridge at CitySuites Kaohsiung Chenai.🤗 Everyday at 3PM, the Great Harbor Bridge rotates 90 degrees horizontally and it's the longest cross-port rotating bridge in Asia.🌉 An additional rotation is held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night at 7 o'clock. At the Pier 2, there are a couple of art installations installed although it was pretty hot that day hence not enough pictures. At night, some of the installations light up so it's definitely a must visit either in the morning or evening.🤩

Jasil gets off the train to witness the Kaohsiung Totoro Tunnel in action!🚆 If you stay at the CitySuites Kaohsiung Chenai, it is very close to the train station where you could ride the train until you reach the station Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts. There, you may witness a train with really cute cat🐱 designs on its exterior pass by surrounded on both sides by tall overarching trees. If you appreciate the arts, there are a couple of art installations you will definitely pass by on your train ride so be camera ready (cuz I wasn't 😔)!

Jasil visits the Holy Rosary Cathedral Basilica in Kaohsiung, Taiwan's largest Catholic Church.⛪ It is a place of worship, hence, no pictures to provide of the interior. But, trust me when I say the altar is absolutely stunning with yellow gold gilded from top to bottom surrounding the holy icons.✨ After which, we dropped by Vigor Kobo🍍 to DIY their champion Pineapple Cake! They also sell a variety of other Taiwanese snacks and the traditional Pineapple Cake with egg yolk. Yum!😋

Jasil gets a glimpse into one of the most prevalent religions in Taiwan: Buddhism🙏 The Fo Guang Shan serves both as a museum and a place of worship. We got to see intricate wood carvings, gold🪙 and jade💚 buddhas, as well as receive a piece of wisdom from buddha's own teachings.😌
