Every 25th of November the town fiesta were celebrated. Here, in the Church of Poblacion Arayat, Pampanga, a celebration is made in the honor of the Patroness, St. Catherine De Alexandria.
For its patroness, Santa Catalina de Alejandria (St. Catherine of Alexandria), a virgin-martyr of the 4th century killed under the rule of Maxentius. The saint is portrayed standing with a sword, with Maxentius' head under his foot.
It is believed that for any head ailments (headache, migraine, brain tumors, etc) the saint is often invoked. For the reason that she had offered her head to be severed for the sake of Christ. In town, she was considered to be one of the Medieval period's most significant saints and this made her prominent Augustinian devotion.

One of the major food crops in Arayat is mango. That is why there is a barrio/barangay name solely after the fruit (Mangga-Cacutud) it is said that each barangay has hectares of mango plantations. In this, because of its enormous surplus of mango. They came up with a celebration to promote their local fruit and here the Mangga Festival was made. The term for the specific mangoes here are called "Carabao mango" or in vernacular "Manggang Damulag"
